Tree MD's Tree Service LLC

Tree MD's Tree Service LLC handles tree service work out of McKinney, Texas. The company performs structural pruning, plant health care, tree removal, stump grinding, root collar excavation, and planting for residential properties along with HOA, commercial, and municipal clients. John Gandy walks sites to assess issues with trees and provide written estimates, while Kaytlynn handles office coordination and scheduling. The owner and his son also work on jobs with the crews.

Homeowners call them to remove dead trees and grind stumps, prune limbs hanging over pools or structures, thin and lift canopies on large pecans and oaks, and replace trees with new plantings. Crews have cleared fence lines, handled broken branches, and completed multiple removals plus pruning in a single day. Reviews note that crews protect lawns during heavy equipment use, reschedule stump grinding when grass is wet, and finish with mulch placed exactly where requested.

Quotes arrive within a day or two after a property walk-through, and jobs often get scheduled within a week. Communication includes phone calls, emails, and texts with updates for rain delays. Crews arrive on time, finish work quickly, and keep rates competitive across the McKinney area and Collin County. Automated quoting and scheduling help keep the process straightforward from first contact to completion.

Many reviews highlight clean results, careful handling of yards and sidewalks, and responsive follow-up when questions arise. Recurring comments focus on crews that leave sites better than they found them and prices that stay fair for the scope of work. DIRT Score 4.9 from reviews on Finds.

“The guys from Trees MD did an outstanding job. We got a quote for both the front yard and back yard, but we elected to go with just the backyard first, since we had just got the front yard re-sodded. We will definitely call them back to do the front yard latter in the year. The guys were very meticulous in cleaning up after all the work they did.”

“After my initial review, I wanted to provide an update. The company reached out and resolved the issue professionally. They acknowledged the misunderstanding about the original estimate and corrected the situation. I appreciate that they took responsibility and made things right. Good customer service and communication in the end. Thank you for handling the situation properly.”

“5 Stars Elite Service and Zero Mess! I’ve trusted Tree MDs with my yard for years, and they never disappoint. Their operation is smooth from the start, thanks to automated quoting and scheduling, and they really know their business. Whenever I have a question, management gets back to me in a flash. Their crews are incredibly careful on the lawn. They just removed three trees and pruned a fourth for me, handling it all safely with proper equipment and they are fully bonded. The best part? The cleanup was flawless—they raked the entire yard and left the sidewalk and street cleaner than they found it. If you want a professional team that respects your property, call Tree MDs!”

“I had a great experience using Tree MDs LLC. I had a quote within a few days of calling for the first time. John walked my property and provided a complete quote for trees to be removed and trimmed at the end of his visit. He even answered general questions on other trees on the property. There was great communication regarding my appointment (phone calls, emails, and text messages) including updates on changes in the workday due to rain. Crew arrived on time, work was done quickly, and clean up after was exceptional. I highly recommend Tree MDs!”

“Tree MD's Tree Service did a truly great job all around, from initial review of the issues with my trees to the completion of work. John Gandy thoroughly explained what was going on with my trees and how to resolve each of them. He provided a written estimate within 24 hours, all communication with him and Kaytlynn in the office was excellent. Prices were very fair and the work was done quickly, efficiently, and the crew was very nice and helpful. I will continue to call them for all my future tree care. I highly recommend Tree MDs!”

“Crew did a great job. They were quick and efficient. Did an excellent job cleaning up when complete”

“The crew was outstanding! Very professional and courteous of our property. It was amazing how fast the two trees were removed and the new ones planted. They cleaned up as if they were never here!!! Definitely would recommend them to anyone whom need trees trimmed or replaced. Their knowledge of the different trees was awesome.”

“Four guys came on time and trimmed the two oak tree limbs hanging over the pool. Excellent communication. Excellent work. Great clean up and very reasonable price”

“The photos re before and after. They did a very nice job. It seemed the trees were in ruff shape. I believe and hope this service will save them.”

“Easy process from scheduling to completion. Professional company who did a great job throughout the final process. I assumed the price would be much more than what I was quoted and the final results far exceeded my expectations. They left my patio and lawn in better shape than they found it (and my lawn guy had been the day before - which maybe I need to give him a one star review.) Thank you Dr. Tree!”

“They did a great job! Came out quick and gave us a quote and the job was done within a week. Very affordable. Will use again in the future”

“Had Tree MD's Tree Service out to remove two dead trees (and grind the stumps) and prune and trim our one healthy tree. They gave a great price and the service was done quickly and professionally. They even rescheduled the stump grinding twice to ensure the grass was fully dry and wouldn't be trampled down by the heavy machinery. Quick communication, great service, and competitive pricing. We will definitely have them back for our future tree service needs!”

“I highly recommend Tree MD's. Local family owned, knowledgeable, thorough, efficient & very reasonable pricing! The team was friendly & hard working. After the job was complete, they cleaned up thoroughly. Such a pleasure to work with them!”

“Tree MD’s did a fantastic job cutting down and grinding the root base of my dying Live Oak and replacing it with a beautiful Burr Oak. John and Kaytlynn are great to work with—they are professional, personable, knowledgeable, and highly ethical. Their service has been awesome from start to finish. I highly recommend them to anyone in the McKinney / North Texas area looking for top-notch tree care (actually, tree anything!)”

“HIGHLY recommend this company due to their kindness, punctuality, honesty, and swift services. I've never had to use a tree services company previously, and have relied on Tree MD's twice in the past few months. Excellent all the way around.”

“A job well done! The men were very professional. They were very knowledgeable and courteous! I will be calling them back next time I need their service again.”

“Wonderful work, I highly recommend Tree MD. Their quote was fair. Within a week we were scheduled and the job completed. They cleaned up after themselves and didn’t damage anything. Thank you for a job well done.”

“Tree MD was here today to lift and thin several trees, including a massive pecan tree with broken branches and others nearly reaching the ground. They also removed a dead tree, as well as a tall hackberry growing right next to a power pole. The owner and his son were out there working right alongside their crew. They were excellent communicators, professional, pleasant, and surprisingly affordable. They did a thorough cleanup too, mulching everything and putting it all in two places as requested. If only every company was like this!”
