J And J Custom Tree Service

J And J Custom Tree Service runs out of Montgomery, Texas and handles tree work on both homes and commercial sites. Justin takes the calls and sets up the jobs while the crew removes trees, grinds stumps, trims branches, clears land, and handles storm damage or hazard checks. The company covers Montgomery along with The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe and nearby spots, and they take on any size tree on any property.

Homeowners and businesses bring them in for big pine removals, dead tree take-downs, stump grinding after neglect, trimming near roofs, and full clearing on acreage. Crews finish multiple trees and stumps in one day, stack wood on burn piles, prune safely around structures, and handle sudden storm jobs that threaten homes. In every case the yard ends up clean with no leftover branches or mess.

Justin and the office staff answer calls fast, show up when promised, and keep prices fair even on short-notice work. Crews arrive on time, work straight through without rushing, clean the site as they go, and stay in touch through the whole process. They handle everything from single dangerous trees to ten-acre overgrowth jobs across the listed towns.

Reviews total twenty accounts with most giving top marks for quick arrivals, solid effort, and clean results after each job. Recurring notes cover reasonable costs, crews that finish on schedule, and safe handling of tall or dead trees, though one account mentioned minimum effort and late arrival on a single project.

“Did a great job for us. We purchased a neglected home. Justin removed 3 big pines and 1 giant one. He also removed some dead trees, ground the stumps down and trimmed all the rest of the trees for a very reasonable price. I would absolutely use him again and have no trouble recommending him. We also added a new roof during the process so the yard is a mess.”

“I recently had multiple pine trees removed along with the stumps ground down by J and J Tree Service, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Their pricing was very reasonable, especially for the amount of work completed. The crew was quick, diligent, and extremely professional from start to finish. They showed up on time, worked efficiently, and made sure everything was cleaned up before leaving. I highly recommend J and J Tree Service to anyone needing tree removal or stump grinding done right.”

“I highly recommend J & J Custom Tree Service! From start to finish, the entire experience was excellent. Justin was professional, knowledgeable, and responsive throughout the estimate process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and provided a fair, detailed quote. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, and did an outstanding job. They were professional, efficient, and left the property clean when they were finished. The office staff was also fantastic—friendly, organized, and easy to communicate with throughout the process. It’s refreshing to work with a company that delivers great customer service from the first phone call to the final cleanup. I wouldn’t hesitate to use J & J Custom Tree Service again and will gladly recommend them to friends and family.”

“This is the best tree company anywhere in the Houston area. I’ve had them remove or trim (Class A style) 100’s of trees over the years and they are consistent, detailed, and very responsive to the customer’s desires. Highly recommend them.”

“Justin had our trees.cut and stacked on our burn pile in no time at all. This is the only Tree Professional I will use and recommend.”

“They did an okay good job with the trees, not exceptional, but okay. One of my biggest issues was that the workers were told to just do the bare minimum because Justin had undercut the price of a competitor. Instead of talking to us about mispricing things, he just told them to only do the very minimum. My other issues were in communication, showing up late (hours after expected) and still leaving in a rush with a bunch of branches behind that we have to take care of. The icing on the cake was one of the employees drinking on the job. I'm very uncomfortable with someone drinking, throwing the bottle on the ground near the trees, and using a chainsaw. That's a homeowner insurance nightmare. When I asked Justin about it, he brushed it off and said "I don't know anything about what they're doing."”

“They are fast to respond! Fair prices and as honest and throughout as can be. Highly recommend!”

“If you’re looking for professional and efficient tree service, look no further! This team was amazing—they arrived on time, handled everything with precision, and left the yard spotless. They safely removed a large tree that was threatening our home and even pruned the surrounding trees beautifully. Their attention to detail and safety made all the difference. Highly recommended!”

“A mini army of HARD workers all arrived by 0800 and did a PHENOMENAL job on 10 acres of overgrown trees, low hanging branches, stumps!!!”

“They showed up on time and did a fantastic job on my property! They also cleaned up as they went!!!”

“I needed some trees trimmed around the roof of my house or my insurance was going to drop me. I got little to no notice of the deadline and I panicked. I called a few places close to me but they couldn't get there soon enough.J&J was located on the other side of town but they came highly recommended from a family member. Justin was very knowledgeable and friendly. He assured me he would do what it took to get the work done before my deadline. He had a crew out the next morning and they were done within a few hours. I was terrified it was going to be outrageously overpriced considering how professional they were and how quickly they came. However he was very reasonable with his pricing, beating the other two companies by quite a bit. I'll use them again if the need arises.”

“J and J has cut several trees for me and neighbors. They are professional and clean up after themself. If you are looking to get the job done and a affordable price you have found your place.”

“We have used J & J multiple times and have recommended him to others. Their work has been timely, efficient with reasonable pricing. Justin is my tree guy!”

“The first time we had J&J come out to cut a very dangerous tree away from our home and we were so amazed at their talent in getting the tree down, I had to watch the whole time. We called them back out to cut a few other trees around our property and trim them up. We are always amazed at their work, fair prices and advice. Thank you J&J!!”

“I have had J and J custom tree come out to many of jobs I have going on and still do! I never have ANY issues at all with them! Quick responsive proper clean and done in a timely manor everytime. They are my go-to every time I need one or acreage taken care of from trimming to clearing.”

“Justin and his crew showed up when they were suppose to and immediately went to work. They took down 4 trees and ground 3 stumps in one day. They cleaned up my place and did a fantastic job.”

“Justin and his crew were very hard working and efficient! They showed up on time and got right to work! We had 8 trees cut down and about 12-15 stumps removed”

“I had over 30 dead pin oak trees some as tall as 100 feet I needed immediately cut down. I contacted Justin at J & J and told them I had a problem with several dead trees. Even though he was 60 miles from where I needed him, he came out no problem and provided a quote for the service I needed. We agreed upon a different day for them to arrive and he showed up and did exactly what I expected. I was impressed with his staff and there ability to work well together. They even took a little time to help educate me about how and why they cut trees certain ways. I have more trees that I need removed and Justin will be my guy to help. However I need to wait until hunting season is over :):). I would recommend Justin to anyone.”

“A storm blew over part of my huge Bradford pear tree. I called Justin at 7:00 am, he answered the phone, came to look at it, gave a price, and returned shortly with his equipment. Two hours later, by 9:30 am, it was completely removed and my yard cleaned. Never knew it was there. He is so professional, great at his craft, and very reasonable on his price.”

“Great tree service! I had a dense area of brush and large pine trees that needed to be cleared near a structure. Justin and his crew were able to show up on short notice and compete the job with no issues. I’ll definitely be using J and J for future work.”
