“My initial interactions with Daniel were fine. He came and performed the services as requested last year - flowerbed clean up and tree trimming. I hired him again for another service and he completed part of it; I paid him for the completed service and then he requested $200 towards ordering materials for the border/trim and has yet to complete the project. He provides an apology and excuse, but never shows up when he says he will.judging from the previous reviews, this seems appears to be a habit of his. I’m still waiting on the service to be completed or at the very least to be given the material we paid for. If you use him, I suggest not paying for services up front.”

“Beware: Do Not Pay in Advance I am extremely disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism from Daniel, Total Tree.. While the actual yard work is fine if he actually shows up, his scheduling, communication, and business practices are completely unacceptable. I wish I had read the previous reviews before calling him. • Broken Promises & No-Shows: He convinced me to prepay for an entire 12 months of service. Since then, it has been a nightmare. He constantly promises to come on specific days, made me to stay home to wait for him, only to reschedule at the last minute or simply not show up at all. • Zero Communication: Trying to get a hold of him is impossible. He has completely ignored my phone calls and text messages for months at a time. • Holding My Money: Because I paid upfront, he still has my money for services he has not delivered, and I have been unable to get a refund. My Advice to Everyone: Do NOT pay this business in advance under any circumstances. Only pay after the job is completely finished and you are satisfied with the work. Save yourself the stress and find someone reliable.”

“Daniel’s work is amazing! Unfortunately, he does not follow through on his commitments. He was paid in full to complete a job in December of 2025. It is now end of May 2026 and he still hasn’t completed the job. There have been some scheduling set backs, of which I was extremely understanding but 6 months is an excessive amount of time to leave a job unfinished and then cease all communication. What’s sad is I want to recommend him but I would be doing everyone a disservice if I did. If you still decide to move forward and hire him, know that the work is going to be great but ensure that the job is fully complete before payment.”

“I don't typically write reviews. Daniel came out and cleaned up my yard. He did a fabulous job so I signed up for a quarterly service. I paid him and haven't seen him since. It was excuse after excuse. Life happens so I was pretty understanding. After 2.5 months past the time he was to come back for the quarterly service I gave him the opportunity twice to return the funds since he did not keep his end of the contract. He said he would, but failed to follow through. I rarely hire people to do work for me because I am picky, but fell ill and needed someone to do the work. I realpy felt Daniel would follow through. I would not recommend paying him until all work is complete and I wouldn't recommend hiring for a continuous service.”

“This is the worst business I have ever had the displeasure of working with. I signed a 1 year contract with Daniel to deal with the weeds on my property and it has been a hassle to get them to complete the work I already paid in full for. He says he is coming on a certain day and doesn’t show up till a few days later. I always have to text him to put me on the schedule when in actuality, as a professional, he should be the one contacting me to set up the appointments when they are due. Every time I text him, he ignores me and I have to text him about 3 times on different days to get a response. I still have tons of weeds in my yard with no improvement because he is not consistent with the application of the chemicals. I currently texted him all of last week to come and provide the service he claimed he would provide 3 weeks ago and never showed up to do. Worst company I have ever worked with and I do not recommend at all.”

“Update: Daniel was paid in August of 2023. He finally completed the job by grinding the stump today, 2-22-24, after I posted this original review. Original review: Did not finish job. Stump grinding not done. No response to calls or texts. Make sure job is 100% complete before you give him any money.”

“I am so disappointed with Total Tree. After the hurricane, we sent photos of a tree that we needed removing. It had not completely fallen over, but luckily was in a clear area that could easily be brought down into the cul-de-sac. I sent multiple photos and he quoted a price. Then when he got there, he changed the cost saying it was a bigger job than he originally thought. Of course it was right after the hurricane and we had to pay somebody because we didn’t want the safety issue. He said he would send someone else to remove the stump. For weeks nothing. After several weeks of texting him said he would have to charge more for the stump grind. Make sure to get everything in writing or record the conversations. We will never use them again!”

“Does Not honor his commitments. Talked me into a monthly service 2 months ago, but has yet to provide the service. Daniel is the king of excuses. Do not hire him and get taken for $400.00 like I was.”

“Danny with Total Tree Care did such a great job on my property. I have used him a few times now for different projects. I had several limbs all over the place from a dying tree, he cleaned up the limbs, trimmed the tree back and even did a treatment on the tree to try to save it. I also had him powerwash everything and I had to have him fix my fence. He does a great job and was so kind. I will use him again when I need work done, I highly recommend!!!”

“Daniel, was a total yes mame and quoted a price of 800.00 if he did the job right now! I was rushing to leave for work & he guaranteed a year warranty. It has taken him 6 months to finally comeback after I ended up paying him over 1100.00 for his line of bull! That he didn’t stand by & wanted more money. I asked him to leave because he just takes advantage of single woman in need of a trustful workers. Would not recommend him!”

“I would recommend Total tree care to anyone! They were on time. My trees were so bad and I had an idea of what would look good. They did exactly what I hoped for. The trees are perfect!! Turns out we have carpenter ants really bad, they were happy to spray for them so the ants wouldn't damage our home. They were very knowledgeable about our trees. The cost was in our budget. They did a great job on cleaning up!”
