Acorn Tree Service

Acorn Tree Service takes care of tree removal, trimming, pruning, stump grinding and hauling debris in Southlake, Texas. Chris runs the outfit and lines up the crews that handle the work from start to finish. Reviewers note that he shows up to look over jobs himself and brings in teams that include Juan, Luis, Brittnie and Alex when the jobs get bigger.

Homeowners bring them in for jobs like pulling down trees that landed on roofs, taking out four or six large trees from backyards, raising canopies on old oaks and pines, and grinding stumps next to fences. Crews secure limbs so nothing slides or causes extra damage, work around flowers and houses without harm, and haul off every piece of wood and chips. After they finish, yards look untouched and trees end up with better shape than before.

Chris answers calls fast, often the same day, and sends itemized quotes with photos of what the crew plans to do. Prices land lower than other bids people received, and crews show up on the booked day, finish in a couple of days, and leave the site spotless. Reviewers say the whole process stays straightforward with clear communication and no extra mess left behind.

Plenty of customers point to the same strengths across many jobs: crews stay professional and safe, cleanup meets a high standard, and the pricing feels fair compared with competitors. DIRT Score 4.8 from 317 reviews on Finds.

“Acorn was super-professional. We had Chris come out for a quote and he knew more than we even considered, giving us advice and options for the work to be done. When they did come, the results were phenomenal, and the cleanup was done so well that, when I got home from work, it looked like our trees had just always looked that good. I couldn't recommend them enough. If we ever need more work done, we know who we will be calling to come around!”

“We lost a big tree that required these professionals and they did a superb job. The team sent to our house was efficient, safe and courteous. I highly recommend Acorn Tree Service and will always use them for future needs. Thanks for the stellar work y’all!”

“What an incredible company. The owner and crew were all very professional, courteous, and friendly. They went above and beyond on the job I put in front of them. A tree had fallen on my roof from a neighbor's yard. The tree was resting against the house in such a way that cutting the tree the wrong way would have resulted in additional home damage. The crew was meticulous about securing the tree from rolling or sliding off the roof. They examined and discussed among themselves the best way to approach the removal. When they got it down to where only the trunk was still leaning against the house, they worked it out themselves, but thought they should have extra input. They called in the owner to ensure they were approaching the removal in the safest manner. It was really inspiring to see a company work so well together. I would highly recommend Acorn Tree to anyone. I have permanently added them to my call list for future tree service.”

“We got 3 quotes to remove 4 fairly large trees in our backyard. Acorn was the lowest. Which was great. But what was really great was their work. They we meticulous, professional, removed all the "lumber", chipped the branches, and raked the site spotless. I'd HIGHLY recommend Acorn Tree.”

“Great service and the guys were very nice and professional. They removed a fruitless mulberry tree from my front yard and was amazin gbn to watch how they did it. They were very careful with the flowers and house. Great job and will recommend them to anyone! Juan, Luis, and the rest were just great!”

“We got estimates from a few other tree trimming services and decided to go with Acorn. Chris was knowledgeable and made several suggestions on how much to prune our trees so they would look their best. The crew came out, did a great job, cleaned up, and were very nice. My husband and I are very happy with the outcome. While the crew was at my home, one of my neighbors commented on how good the trees looked and asked to have an estimate done. That says a lot! Thank you!!”

“Couldn’t be more satisfied with my experience with Acorn Tree Services. I requested a quote for tree removal and trimming via their website, and that same day (a Saturday), the owner Chris came by to assess the work I was wanting done. He promptly provided an estimate electronically and it was very reasonably priced. The crew came out less than a week later and they did an amazing job and cleaned up the yard afterward very well. Highly recommend!”

“Chris Steele and his crews at Acorn Tree service are awesome. We wanted our trees trimmed and their canopies raised. Chris responded quickly and came out and make recommendations and he provided a very fair estimate. A few days later Chris came back with his crew and they did an exceptional job. The trees now have a great shape and look so much better. The staff is professional, the equipment is in top shape and they are mindful to do everything safely. I would definitely recommend them.”

“Acorn Tree is about the best tree service we've ever used. They are punctual, thorough and provide digital photos of the job they plan to do based on the meeting you have with them. The pricing is very clear and the employees were on time and cleaned up every bit of the debris. I would highly recommend Acorn Tree.”

“An amazingly excellent company in every way. We had seven oaks and pines around our house and yard that had accumulated probably twenty years of dead wood and neglect. I delayed getting it done because I had not found a tree company that I felt confident with until a friend recommended Chris and Acorn. Chris answered himself and came by the next day to give a thorough walk thru and price estimate. The price was better than I'd expected and he had a crew ready to come by in two days that was insured and highly competent. On the day of the work, they all arrived on time as promised, set up, and got to work. It is enjoyable I find to watch a well oiled team do their work. The complete job was done in three hours, not the seven that I expected. The results were stunning, the cleanup was outstanding, and wood chippers were surprisingly quiet, and the crew was professional and VERY courteous to me AND my concerned neighbors. When it was all done, my neighbors came by and thanked me for hiring such a professional bunch! And I got the job done for about half of what I expected. Simply put, I have nothing but the absolute HIGHEST PRAISE for Acorn Tree Services. They are the tree trimming t”

“This is a great service. I had to wait a while to get an appointment, but this normal for good service companies. They were here early on the appointed day and worked on three trees. A large pine, a large bald cypress, and a sweet gum. They did a very good job and I was really impressed with the cleanup. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needs tree service.”

“Our experience with this company was AMAZING!!! After having another Tree Company come out & give a quote , we made the decision to go with Acorn Tree Service . Chris was very friendly and professional-- as we're the rest of his crew! Not only were they more affordable , they were able to get the work done in a prompt & timely manner! We will be posting their info in our Neighborhood E-mail to let others know about them! We would use them again for sure! I'll”

“I hired Acorn Tree Service to remove six trees in my backyard. It was a very tricky job, involving grinding stumps near a fence, and required coordinating with a fencing company for partial fence removal and replacement. Chris and his team did an outstanding job. He's a very honest guy and super easy to work with. I highly recommend Chris and Acorn Tree Service.”

They cleaned up and it looked like they had never been there. Would highly recommend and will use them again if I ever need another tree removed.”

“Acorn Tree Service trimmed some trees for my wife and I and also ground a stump in our front yard. They charged a very fair price, much lower than a previous quote that we received from another company. The did very good work and are very friendly. We highly recommend them for any tree service.”

“I had a couple of trees trimmed by Acorn. Chris and his team were very professional, courteous and did a fantastic job. They arrived at the scheduled appointment job, cleaned up and took away all debris. I would highly recommend them and will use them again for my future tree needs.”

“Chris is very knowledgeable and responsive and excels in customer service. We have used Acorn twice within in a few months and both times we have been very pleased. Both times I called Chris, he came out the same day to scope the project, sent us an itemized, fair-priced quote the next morning and within a couple of days, the crew was here and the job was done! The crew not only does great work, but they left the yard and work area cleaner than it was when they arrived! Acorn is a great company to work with and I highly recommend them!”
