Monster Tree Service of Sugar Land

Monster Tree Service of Sugar Land handles tree work in Sugar Land and nearby spots like Missouri City. Jason runs the outfit and sends crews out for removals, stump grinding, trimming, pruning, and planting new trees like crepe myrtles. They also handle cleanup after the cuts and sometimes bring in help for related yard fixes such as resodding or sprinklers. Customers call on them for big jobs like taking down water oaks near houses or live oaks damaged by storms.

Reviews show crews removing multiple trees limb by limb to avoid hitting fences or homes, grinding stumps flat, and shaping up oaks and pecans while keeping the trees healthy. Jason and Brandon lead teams that show up for scheduled work, trim branches knocked down by wind, and leave yards clear of debris. Homeowners note the crews explain what needs doing for safety and long-term tree condition, then finish with a thorough sweep so nothing is left behind.

Jason answers calls or messages fast, often the same day or within an hour for a look at the job, and gives quotes that come in lower than other bids for the same scope. Crews arrive on the date promised, work through weather delays when needed, and keep folks posted on changes. They cover Sugar Land and Missouri City, stick to regular business hours, and charge prices described as fair and competitive without extra add-ons for basic cleanup.

“The experience with MTS was good from beginning to end. We had a few hiccups but that can happen when dealing with equipment but they kept me updated. They took down the huge trees plus grind the stumps. They did a good job cleaning up everything. The crew was really professional and safety is a top priority for them. I have already recommended them to others.”

“Water Oak was in a precarious spot between our house and our neighbor’s. The crew did an excellent job, removing limb by limb to prevent any damage to properties and fence. Extremely professional and friendly!”

“This is the second time I used them and their work is excellent. The reason I didn't give a 5 star review is because I was not happy with the way they handled the postponement of the job. We scheduled 3 weeks in advance and were nervous about the limb that was hanging from the tree that was to be removed. Some really big storms came through the week prior to our appointment and had I not followed up to see if we still on the schedule, I don't think I would have known that they were pushing our appointment back to handle emergencies. I understand that there were people who were in dire need of assistance, I just wanted to feel that as a returning customer, I was valued, too, especially since the hanging limb could potentially cause more damage to the fence.”

“Highly recommend Monster Tree Service. They removed 3 trees, trimmed the other two, and put in some Crepe Myrtles for us. Fast, affordable, and friendly!”

“Excellent tree service company! From scheduling to communicating with the arborist to the guys doing the trimming and pruning to clean up, this Monster Tree Service is just outstanding. Price is fair, too. I’m very satisfied with this business. They were awesome last year, as well. My trees look great!”

“Jason & his team did a great job. What was supposed to be a one day job turned into two. His guys were very respectful of our property & our family. His prices are very affordable as well another company wanted triple the amount Jason charged us & for less work being done. I will definitely use him again.”

“I had been needing to get my trees trimmed for about 8 months. A windy cold front recently blew through and knocked down a large branch in the backyard. It was good timing because the week prior, I had received a brochure and coupon in the mail for Monster Tree Service. I called Jason, and he was at my house about 45 minutes later. He looked at the trees and consulted me through the process. He gave me a very reasonable quote which I proceeded with and the crew was out a week later. Brandon and his crew did an incredible job. They were very knowledagble about how to maintain the health of the trees while also cleaning them up. They trimmed 4 trees, and removed and ground down 1 all within about 4 hours. Best part, they grind it all up and remove it for you! So unlike other neighbors that have had their trees trimmed and the trimmings left on the sidewalk, MTS took care of that for me. I'll definitely be using them again in a few years!”

“We had lots of work done in our yard, including tree/shrub removal, topping, and trimming of very large oak trees. The crew was great about helping me to understand what needed to be done and would keep the trees healthiest. They also did a fantastic job of cleaning everything up after they were done.”

“We had Monster Tree Service trim our Live Oak. They gave us a date, and showed on that date. They trimmed the tree beautifully, were efficient, extremely knowledgeable and courteous, took a minimum amount of time, and left the area as clean as they found it. They will definitely be our “go to” tree company from now on!”

“Another great job trimming all three of my trees. All needed shaped up after the storm due to damaged branches. After cutting them, did a good job cleaning everything up. Both professional and safety was a top priority for them.”

“Highly recommend for their professional yet friendly service! Not only did they remove 2 trees; they also resod my yard and had their irrigation guy fix my sprinkler system to help maintain my new lawn. Jason and his team did great work with competitive pricing and fantastic customer service!”

“Monster Tree Service is always on time, quick, efficient and does a fantastic job of cleaning after completing work. Brandon and his crew are knowledgeable and courteous. And really appreciate Jason's quick responses when requesting service. I'll be using them again to keep my trees looking healthy and safe!”

“Jason, the owner, was excellent with communication. He quickly set up an estimate and impressed me with his knowledge of trees. He was great at keeping me informed about the process of my project, which was delayed a bit due to weather. I had 5 big trees removed and then had the stumps ground down. The crew took all safety precautions and the only damage to my property was two broken fence pickets. They disposed of all the tree pieces, so nothing was left behind. They did a fantastic job and I look forward to using their service again in the future.”

“Monster tree service cleaned three live oak trees for me in Missouri City. The Sugar Land group gave a timely and good quote and were able to provide their service soon after. They arrived on time, did exactly what I wanted done, and cleaned up well afterwards. They were friendly and polite- easy to work with. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them.”

“Jason and his team were a pleasure to work with. Polite, respectful and informative about the process helping me make the best decisions for my tree and understanding of my timing when I could do things. They even cleaned up after themselves in my yard which was a big relief for me and one less thing I had to worry about.”

“Excellent service. Prompt response to query regarding my tree removal. Pleasant and professional on the phone. Accommodating in scheduling and superb job in tree removal and especially cleanup. Price was competitive, and certainly my best value option considering the way the job and property were treated. Will not hesitate to use these professionals again.”

“The people from Monster Tree Service were very professional. They came prepared with the big equipment and took down our dying pecan tree in seconds. They also shredded all the chopped down wood right there and cleaned everything as if they were never there. They ground the stomp and left some mulch from leftovers. All it took about an hour. We would use them again!”

“I had this company come over to trim to very large trees in front of my house. The company gave me a good price within one day, got the work scheduled, and they did a great job. The trees got a good hair cut and I am very happy.”

“We experienced 5-star service from Monster Tree Services. They removed a large pecan tree, performed stump grinding, and trimmed our other pecan tree. Their prices are reasonable. We will definitely use them in the future and highly recommend their services.”

“Jason responded to our online request for an estimate within 24 hours. He promptly came out to provide the free estimate for tree trimming. His crew returned a few days after accepting the bid. Everyone I encountered with Monster Tree Service was friendly and informative. We had 5 live oaks trimmed and they did a great job. Hire people with knowledge of trees who know what they’re doing. These guys are top notch. Will use them again!”
