936 - MULCHIN

936-MULCHIN handles forestry mulching and land clearing work out of Willis, Texas. Justin runs the equipment on site while Amanda manages the scheduling and customer contact. The company takes on residential and commercial properties for brush clearing, underbrush removal, fence line clearing, and full land clearing jobs that range from small lots to tracts as large as 1,000 acres. They use heavy forestry mulchers rather than skid steers and advertise that they will mulch trees of any size or the service is free.

Reviewers describe projects that involved turning densely wooded acres into open ground in a single day, mulching stands of large trees plus root balls and old burn piles, and cleaning up paths or fence lines without leaving debris piles. Justin and Amanda handled properties from three-quarters of an acre up to ten acres, often finishing work that customers expected to take multiple days. Several noted the machines cleared everything on site in one pass and left the ground ready for building or pasture use.

Customers report that Justin answers calls and texts promptly, arrives when promised after a small deposit, and keeps working straight through until the job is finished except for refueling. Pricing is described as straightforward with the total based on hours the equipment actually runs. The company serves the Willis area and surrounding spots for both one-time residential jobs and larger commercial clearing. Reviewers mention the two-machine combo as the option that speeds up bigger wooded tracts.

Most feedback highlights on-time arrivals, equipment size, and visible daily progress, though a few reviews mention equipment breakdowns that extended the job and one instance of poor follow-through on promised work. Google shows 4.8 from 115 reviews. DIRT Score 4.5 from N reviews on Finds.

“These guys showed up and showed out!! The amount they can do in a short amount of time is remarkable. If your looking I highly recommend these guys and the 300hp/160hp combo. Made light work of my DENSELY tree populated land.”

“Don’t waste your time calling around. Justin has the equipment to get the job done right. Everybody on Facebook Marketplace claims they can clear land with a skid steer in a day. The catch? They charge by the day. If they don’t finish, you end up paying for another day… and sometimes another after that. Justin showed up with a real forestry mulcher—not a souped-up skid steer pretending to be one. His machine is an absolute beast, about three times the size, and it completely annihilated my overgrown-on-steroids woods. What looked like a scene from Jurassic Park one day looked ready for development the next. If you want someone who shows up with the right equipment, knows what he’s doing, and gets the job done without dragging it out, call Justin first and save yourself the headache.”

“The best around. Has completed several jobs for us, 3/4 acres to acre property. Professional and reliable. If they schedule a day Justin can mulch he’ll come out on that date and time or sooner.”

“I would recommend this company to anyone needing to have there land mulched and cleared . They are very knowledgeable and punctual . They arrive on time and don’t stop unless it’s to refuel. If I ever need any more land, Clear, they will be the ones I will be using most definitely. I cannot thank them enough.”

“The best around hands down! Justin and Amanda are professional. Cleared my lot in less than 3 hours. Will be a returning customer once I get more property.”

“936 Mulchin & Hydro Ax Clearing Justin did an outstanding job for us. They cleared about 20 good-sized trees and underbrush on our one-acre property in less than 8 hours — fast, efficient, and extremely professional from start to finish. The cost savings alone were incredible. It would have easily cost four times as much to hire a traditional tree service to cut each tree down and haul off the wood. With hydro-ax clearing, everything was handled quickly and cleanly without the huge price tag. If you need land clearing done right and at a fair price, I highly recommend 936 Mulchin & Hydro Ax Clearing. We couldn’t be happier with the results.”

“Zero stars. First off, I left them a bad review for not doing what they promised and poor quality work. This evening Justin the operator and owner reached out via text message and sent me my background check with all of my personal information in a threatening manner like I was going to be scared and delete the bad review. I’m that guy that will stand up and by the way this is Texas…. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL. They will dig in your personal information and may try to steal your identity, who knows. They went this far…….”

“EDIT: I have provided proof of what I am claiming. The owner is now alleging I was a horrible customer. Please see the screen shot of him threatening to take me to court and charge me a fee for his damaged equipment unless I took this review down. BEWARE!!!! I hired 936 Mulchin to do some clearing on my land. What I wanted done was to clean up an existing path that had already been cut. What I got was a $2000 headache. I was originally excited because I was making progress on my property. I looked at their reviews and as you can see, it is very high so I didn't think I had anything to worry about. I spoke with Justin (the owner) and explained exactly what I had wanted done. He said he would pass it on, along with my contact info to the guy actually doing the work. Justin told me the price was $2000 with a $300 mandatory deposit. The remaining amount would be due upon completion of work. The day before the work was completed Mike (the guy completing the work) called and we spoke about everything I wanted done. He said he understood. The morning of, Mike showed up about 8 am. First thing he did was knock on the door to have my then 9 month pregnant wife sign a contract, that we didn”

“If you need to clear out your backyard/property these are your guys! They are very professional, super nice folks and they have really good pricing. Justin came out Sunday to look at my backyard and Tuesday morning they came out in the morning at 9 and by 2pm I had an awesome backyard. My family is now really going to enjoy our new backyard! Thank you Justin!”

“I like doing business with people like Justin. Very responsive, on time, man of his word, and good work. Hard to find now days. Will definitely use for future projects and recommend his business. Thanks again Justin!”

“936-Mulchin did an amazing job clearing 5 acres on our property. I would highly recommend them. Professional, on time and high integrity...probably one of the best contractors I've used in years.”

“Great job! We were putting on a waiting list which was fine. Small deposit required. Owner contacted us when he was ready to go. Showed up ON TIME! Which is rare nowadays. He cleared about 1.25 acres for future homesite. Got it done in one day! He was great and we are so pleased with the quality of what we paid for! Highly recommend 100x over!”

“Our experience with 936-Mulchin was nothing short of exceptional! Amanda and Justin were fantastic throughout our project. Amanda kept all logistics super organized, while Justin arrived to our site exactly when promised and did an excellent job clearing exactly what we had marked. The price was as quoted in the pricing section of their website and the hours paid for were the exact number of hours Justin kept the equipment moving. The equipment is much larger than the typical skid loader, meaning our project was able to be completed much faster than expected. If we ever have a need for a mulcher in the future, we will definitely be calling 936-Mulchin!!”

“Justin did a fantastic job turning our woods into usable land by mulching all the trees and underbrush—no mess, no burn piles, and way better than using a dozer! He’s honest, hardworking, and super responsive. I called him on Sunday, and by Wednesday, he was out here getting it done. We’ll never clear land with a dozer again after this!”

“I would not recommend this company. They are very unprofessional, they have old barely working machines. Machines broke down multiple times and ate up my 8 hours of time, no compensation. Run from this company, it sounds good at first until they get there. They will stretch the work to make you get another day which will cost more money. Run far far away… It’s a money pit”

“Guys came out and did a great job. Needed acreage cleared for animal pens so I didn't need alot of detail work. They cleared more than I was thinking they would get done. Guys were really nice and hard working.”

“Great work! I hired them for 10 acres partial and complete clearing for one day, but for a wooded 10 acres job you need 2 full days.”

“I contacted 936 Mulchin to clear some heavily wooded areas on my small property so we could expand our pasture. Their pricing is straight forward and highly transparent. They were able to accommodate my schedule with a $300 deposit and showed up on time. I used the combo for $5600 which was two machines. They exceeded expectations. They were not only able to clear the woods, they mulched old burn piles and root balls we had laying around. They were able to take down huge dead pines that the tree companies would have charged $500 each. They mulched carefully next to our horse arena and made sure debris did not get into the arena. They mulched near fences and near the house without any issue. They worked non stop for 8 hours, only stopping to sharpen blades. Highly recommend. Their skill with the machines is evident. Great investment to open up more of your wooded property or just to take down trees you don’t want.”

“They cleared 8 acres in one day…. Unbelievable!!!!!! Use this company and you will be completely satisfied. Great to work with such a responsible company”

“First class job. On time and worked till job done, if your on fence who to go with, just give them call, combo is way to go.They kept me informed and always answered text/call.”
