Discount Fence USA

Discount Fence USA operates as welders in Austin, Texas, where the veteran owned business handles fence installations along with gates, pickets and staining work. Roy Schuster oversees the crew that includes Fernando, Louis, Martin and Marco, and the company extends military discounts on projects. Scott MacDonald handles some sales calls while Melissa assists with follow up on installs. The work covers new fence builds, refreshed sections and added caps on existing structures using cedar materials.

Homeowners describe jobs that include full fence setups completed quickly by the team, along with fixes to back sections that required multiple return visits. One project refreshed pickets and added a new gate plus cap for a finished appearance, while another secured yards for pets after the crew addressed initial gaps. Some jobs involved cedar pickets treated with stain, though one case left noticeable color contrast after repairs and required warranty steps. Cleanup of leftover concrete on rock beds came up as an issue in at least one report.

The crew handles service calls across the local area with crews that arrive to complete work but sometimes without firm schedules on start or end times. Estimates on timelines do not always hold, leading to extended periods before final sign off. Follow up on problems occurs when requested, and representatives like Melissa push to get installers back for adjustments even if results vary on the second or third attempt.

Reviewers note strong outcomes on the final fence appearance and durability along with occasional service gaps around arrival notices and site cleanup. Google rating stands at 4.8 from 743 reviews. DIRT Score 4.7 from reviews on Finds.

“Big thanks to Roy Schuster and his wonderful team at Discount Fence USA. Fernando, Louis, Martin, Marco and Roy were amazing how fast this fence was put up. Veteran owned, and offers military discounts . I only positive things to say about this company. They were very professional and efficient. Even came across a couple hickups during that were resolved with no issues if you're looking to get a fence, I would definitely recommend this company.”

“Roy made the process simple and easy, his team knows their stuff! 💯 recommended!! Puppers were super happy with the completed project and are both secure!!”

“I had an absolutely wonderful experience with Discount Fence and their salesperson, Scott MacDonald. I love my new fence, as well as the refreshed section with all-new pickets and a brand‑new gate. The cap addition truly elevated the entire look—so clean, attractive, and beautifully finished! I’m especially thrilled with the re-install of the back portion and the new side fence with a gate. Once again, adding the cap made everything look outstanding. The pre-treated quality cedar pickets with the Cedar Tone stain are gorgeous and really make my home stand out in the neighborhood. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are easy to see. Thank you so much for doing such a great job and really listening to my wants and needs. Scott was wonderful to work with—professional, attentive, and committed to making sure everything turned out exactly right. I couldn’t be happier! — Cecilia Roberts”

“I have to say that I was very happy with the service that their representative Melissa provided to us to make this project right, she worked really hard to get the installers to come back to fix the problems with the back of the fence, the installers came back twice after the initial installation and they finally fixed the problem the third time but the only problem is the fence stain was darker than the ones initially installed and the contrast is darker and very noticeable. Melissa turned in the warranty so they can fix the staining hopefully. Also there was a lot of concrete from the installers left all around on my rock beds and it was not cleaned up properly, even on my neighbors side who were upset with me! I’m currently doing clean up to fix that on my own. Make sure you supervise the workers closely, they did not do clean up afterwards. Melissa though did all she could and I appreciate her. 02/16/2026 Update Thank you for returning to fix my fence! We love it so much, the stain now matches and Lewis and Joe are the best! They did a great job!!👏🏻 💯”

“Matt M. was great. The final product was beautiful, made requested changes, and gave me a product that should stand the test of time. However their communication is terrible. The crew shows up whenever, leaves whenever, no word on when they will show up, when they will leave. They also didn’t finish the job within the estimated time.”
