Torres Metals

Torres Metals handles welding work from their base in Brownsville, Texas. They take on metal repair jobs that come up for people living near the border where salt air and daily use take a toll on everything from gates to smaller household items. The shop stays busy with locals who need metal pieces cleaned up and put back together right. Brownsville homeowners often deal with corroded outdoor fixtures and broken fixtures around the property, and this crew focuses on getting those fixed using standard welding methods without dragging things out. They keep things practical for folks who just want the job done and the metal holding strong again.

Douglas handles jewelry cleaning and repair work that brings pieces back to good shape in time for family events, with customers noting how well the items turned out after the process. Battery swaps get completed fast, as seen when Alla Loubriel needed one done on July 16 ahead of travel plans. These welders work on metal items that need attention from small fixes to full restoration, keeping the focus on getting the material joined properly and ready for use again right away.

Customers point to the speed on jobs like battery changes and repairs that finish without long waits, along with quality that leaves items looking and working better than before. “This does does a amazing job in cleaning jewelry and fixing them also. Very reasonably priced. They also have a nice mix of jewelry for sale with perfumes and purses. I highly recommend this place for cleaning and repair. I'm amazed at how my jewelery came out today and right in time for my daughter's quincinera.”

“Thankful for fast battery replacement on July 16 in such a short time frame before leaving town.”

“I don’t know how this place has been in business so long with such a rude and dishonest person working there. Please be careful with the guy with the glasses, he will literally give you less than half of you’re supposed to get for your gold. He was giving me the price of 10k gold (and even less than that) when my stuff was literally marked 14k. There is another person there that seems very honest and will give you a good price for your gold but beware of that one person with the glasses; it’s sad to say but he might be the owner.”

“Very fast and excellent work, and prices!”

“He is my go to Jeweler. Why one might ask? I purchased a diamond and a engagement band separately. I went to every jewelry store in town including those in the mall. They were either going to take months or they would flat out say no because of the liability of the diamond. It was a 2.5 Carat almost flawless diamond, so no one wanted to risk it chipping or not mounting it correctly. I brought it here to Mr. Torres and he told me to hold on as he inspected it in front of me. He didn't say much and gave it back to me and went back into his shop. He then said, sure I can do it, and at a super reasonable price, I might add!!! He told me to go back into his workshop with him, lest I feel he was going to swap out a very expensive diamond with something else. This won me over, because what jeweler does this??? He did, he let me sit there and watch him mount the stone. It was incredible and a privilege to watch a master at work!!! Since then, he has done a handful of repairs for me and I have been thoroughly pleased! This part of town has a bad fame about it, but his little shop is a gem within the area, no pun intended! There is no one better and I truly recommend him for his customer service, professionalism, and courteousness, especially when put to the test on a huge task, it meant a lot to me and his services will certainly be of great service to you!!!”
