SSP MetalWorks runs a custom metal fabrication shop out of Corpus Christi, Texas. They focus on welding and full metal work for local needs, handling everything from initial drawings through cutting, forming, and final polish. The outfit started back in 1960 and has kept serving the area for more than sixty years with experience across stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminum, galvanized, copper, brass, and other metals. They cut with two Omax water jet machines that handle sheets over six feet by twelve feet and materials up to six inches thick. Shearing runs on a twelve foot half inch Accurshear for main jobs and a smaller Weiger for light stock. Bending uses a 175 ton twelve foot Accurpress brake for heavy forms and a four foot cell brake for smaller runs. Welding covers TIG as the main method along with MIG and stick on Miller and Lincoln machines, plus grinding and polishing to finish. Darin Burton needed a new top for his backup generator enclosure, so Jorge measured on site and delivered a fit that worked after a redesign. “I needed a new top for my backup generator enclosure and was referred by a mutual friend to Stainless Steel Products and Metalworks. I spoke to Jorge, he came out measured my generator and in about 3 weeks called me and my new roof or top was ready for pick up. It fits great and we did redesign it to prevent it from holding water anymore. They were very reasonably priced for being over 8ft. long. They did an awesome job it fit perfect. I can't recommend them enough!!”
