Aranda Iron Works Inc
Welder · Laredo, TX
About
Aranda Iron Works Inc operates as a welder out of Laredo, Texas, handling ironwork and ornamental metal projects around the area. Owner Jose Aranda Jr. runs the crew from their location on McPherson Road, where they take on metal repairs and fabrication jobs that come up in the city. The heat and heavy traffic in Laredo wear down trailers, gates, and boat parts quicker than most places, so these welders focus on steel frames and attachments that need fixing fast for local homeowners and drivers. They keep tools ready for the steady flow of fixes that border town conditions create on a regular basis.
They step in for welding on car trailers when other shops turn down last-minute requests, and Joe has shown up to get things moving without delay. Customers have dropped off pontoon boats with bad plugs that got swapped out the same day, even on a Saturday, and the crew handles general iron work such as securing loose metal sections or patching broken spots on equipment. Their method comes from years of direct time with torches and rods, letting projects go from damaged to solid without needing multiple returns to the shop for adjustments. This keeps the work moving on the kinds of trailer frames and boat parts that break down often in the local weather.
Reviews point to steady praise for fast turnaround times and reliable results once the welding gets underway, along with reasonable prices on the metal repairs needed in this border town. Some customers note slow answers on the phone and missed follow-up calls that leave people waiting on updates, which pulls the overall rating down. The pattern shows that the experience pays off on the actual welding work when the initial contact goes through, yet the communication side stays uneven from one job to the next. What Customers Say
“Good people. Awful customer service. Was told the welding project would be done mid day. I’m sure it was but they never called. I called numerous times and never got an answer. Called from a different number and it was answered after the first ring. So if you need something in a pinch I’m sure they would work. If you want a company that is professional and easy to work with go somewhere else.”
“Not sure what happened to get a one, but I think these guys r incredible. Traveling through Laredo and needed work done to car trailer. Called another shop first. They said call back in two hrs, I did, then three more times, no response. Called Aranda and spoke to Joe. Joe came over to the trailer park within 10 minutes of my call. Then put a hitch on his truck and took it to his shop, at no added charge. Did an outstanding job on trailer then returned it back to park. Two days later on Sarurday I call to get a modification to something else on the trailer. Within 30 min, joes brother is at park with mobile welding truck. Again did a great job. So while they may have received bad rating from someone, for me they have been outstanding. Would refer to everyone. Tell them u heard about the great job they did for the guy with the car trailer at casa blanca st pk.”
