About
Central Fence & Supply operates as welders based in Pharr, Texas. They sit right at 504 East Ferguson and focus on fence and gate work for both homes and businesses. Their projects cover chain link, wood, PVC, and ornamental iron setups that require strong welds to hold up. The crew stocks supplies for do-it-yourself customers who want to handle their own repairs or builds. Financing options help property owners cover full installs without paying everything at once. This setup lets them serve the local area with practical welding tied to fencing needs that match daily demands in the region.
Roland takes care of first visits on gate jobs by checking driveway entrances and taking measurements before sending quotes the next day. The crews handle electric gate installs complete with card readers, keypads, and remote controls that need solid welding to stay secure. They sell chain link and iron materials right at the counter for quick pickups by customers. Homeowners often call in for free estimates on material prices ahead of any work. This keeps things moving on basic fence and gate fixes without added complications. Delivery can take time in some cases, and returns involve extra steps like showing proof of purchase.
Customers return because of the direct prices and gate repairs that stand up over time in Pharr conditions. Communication works well when technicians like Roland arrive ready with measurements and follow up on quotes promptly. A number of reviews point to reliable quality on the welding side and installs that hold together in regular use. Some mention costs run higher than expected and responses on timing or exchanges can drag, yet the pattern stays consistent around solid work that gets the job done right. What Customers Say
“*Disclaimer* Central Fence installed my gate only.* I called Central Fence and talked to Roland. He was very informative and professional. He came out and looked at the entrance to the driveway and took some measurements. He let me know he would get me a quote the next day, I got it later in the afternoon. I called him up and let him know I wanted the gate installed. I went on a Saturday and paid in full, he let me know there were a few jobs ahead so it would be a few days. Monday he called and said the installers would be coming by to put up the support posts. Yesterday afternoon the gate was installed. Top notch work, great quality. I am very pleased with their work and highly recommend them to anyone needing a fence or gate built and installed. Thank you Central Fence.”
“I am writing to express my deep frustration with the experience I had at Central Fence and Supply Company. I made a concerted effort to arrive before closing time in order to purchase materials needed to fulfill a personal commitment to repair a fence. I arrived at 4:45 PM—a full 15 minutes before the posted 5:00 PM closing time—only to be turned away at the door. Despite being well within business hours, I was told the company was closing and would not be allowed to enter. This lack of customer service not only caused me a great deal of inconvenience but also completely disrupted my plans to complete the fence repair as promised. If your actual policy is to stop serving customers prior to closing time, it should be clearly stated. Otherwise, I expect your staff to honor your posted hours and treat customers with the basic courtesy of allowing them in when they arrive on time. I hope Central Fence and Supply Company takes this feedback seriously and reevaluates its customer service practices moving forward.”
“excellent service and prices and rhey give you free estimates on material prices.”
“I give it 3 stars because while it is a little pricey, they are a bit difficult to deal with at time by not giving a fair idea of delivery times and if you happen to have something deivered and would like to return something, there seems to be so much red tape to go thru because they want a green copy form which the customer doesn't keep despite that you have the original white copy. employees are a bit on the dry side when it comes to friendliness toward the customers. Not sure why my contractor decides to order his materials there but I would have bought elsewhere.”
“I called Thursday morning at 10:42 to set up an appointment for an estimate on 2 different locations, I gave the gentleman all the information he needed and said he would schedule me for Friday. So Friday came along, I called to ask for an ETA and the guy that answered me Friday morning said that I was not on the schedule at all. So I gave him all my information again! He said I would get a call when the guy would be on his way. My husband called for me and they told him there was 3 customers ahead of me. It’s Friday evening and I’m still waiting on the call. Thank God I got someone else to do the job in the morning.”
