About
Shamrock Steel Sales operates as a steel service center right in Odessa, Texas, where they focus on welding and fabrication for the local construction and petroleum trades. The outfit has run since 1956 as a carbon steel distributor that keeps materials ready for big projects in the area. They run a fleet of twenty trucks that hit spots from Abilene east to Pecos west and up toward Seminole north, making daily drops around Midland-Odessa and weekly runs farther out. Their shop handles plate work like shearing, bending, and rolling, plus custom sawing and structural fabrication that calls for solid welding skills on rebar and frames.
Folks pull in to get steel loaded or unloaded, and the crew keeps things moving once trucks reach the dock even when lines form early. Shaun Skaggs noted the people come across solid even on busy days with waits for loading. Patrick Gray jr. mentioned the staff hooks customers up quick without fuss. Rodovik USA ran into a long four-hour unload that showed some disorganization at times, while Scotty Clough pointed out trucks stack up before the eight o'clock open. The welders and fabricators turn out custom cuts and bends that fit oilfield rigs and building frames, working straight with what drivers bring in so projects stay on track without extra trips.
Customers keep coming back because the work quality holds up on fabrication jobs and the crew communicates clearly about wait times and material needs. Speed gets mixed marks when volume piles up, yet the price stays fair for the steel and welding that gets done right the first time. What Customers Say
“Awesome people work here!!!! A little busy so it's usually a while to get loaded. But overall good peeps and good service.”
“Unfortunately first time here, really disappointed They are terribly disorganized. I’ve been here 4 hours waiting to get unloaded. They care about costumers only, not who brings the Material to sell for customers. avoiding this place will save you money”
“Super Nice folks. They'll get you hooked right on up.”
“They open at 8:00. Customers been lined up since 7:00. And trucks waiting to deliver. Maybe opening earlier is possible??”
“They open at 8am. They only started working at 8:30 am. It takes about 1 hour minutes to unload one truck, they work very slowly. When I arrived there were 7 trucks. If you want to be the first I advise you to arrive at 7 am. They don't respect the working hours of the truck drivers. The man who comes to pick you up for unloading was polite and kind.”
