“Oscar’s did an excellent job on a challenging walkway to our home. Their crew carefully assessed the situation, took precise measurements, and worked hard to match the look, style, and color of our front door. They built both pieces in about a week and installed them soon after. Lilia in the office kept me informed every step of the way, which I really appreciated. My only minor issue was the lack of a credit card payment option, as bank transfer was seemingly the only choice. They even removed a previous railing attempt from some well-intentioned folks who found the job too complex. The crew ensured everything was secure, balanced, and spotless before leaving. I highly recommend this company for any metalwork needs.”

“Okay, here goes! We are totally remodeling. My general cabinet, drywall, painter, framer………”everything” man has been doing this for years and knows everything including the best, most reputable folks around the San Antonio area. As with everything else, when we told him we were going to put new railings around our front porch, he immediately said “Oscars.” So I dealt with Oscars Iron Works without reserve. They have been in San Antonio forever, family operated (thank you, Oscar) and do all the big-wigs iron work (apparently their staircases are UNBELIEVABLE as are their railings). I gave them a photo of the type of railing I wanted, they drafted it up (thank you Oscar’s first son, Oscar), I paid them half and the fabrication began. At the installation, some adjustments we’re needed because of things like not true columns, for example, of my 20 year old home (settling). My general, “knows everything “ man said that that was not unusual and most companies have railings that telescope and such to make things fit. Not Oscars! They cut and welded and finished the railing on-site and worked their butts off in the San Antonio heat (thank you, Michael - Oscar’ second son). We could not be happier and are blown away. Five stars are not nearly enough. Really nice, substantial railings! As an aside, being born second, I think, relegated Oscar’s second son, Michael, to having to endure the heat but I want him to know that that builds character. Love the entire family!”

“This place is amazing! 3 generations of passion makes them what they are today. I walked in and was met by Oscar Jr and immediately I described to him what I was needing and he began sketching it out as we talked and it was exactly what I wanted. Junior drove out to our new home under construction in Blanco and measured our staircase rails because I didn’t trust myself. Three weeks later the professional team of craftsman in the back carefully loaded them in my truck and my helper and I installed them and they were PERFECT. I can’t say enough about these guys, from start to finish it was a great experience! I would highly recommend this business for you iron needs.”
