Able Handyman Services

Able Handyman Services handles window and door work along with related handyman tasks in Denton, Texas. Ryan runs the operation and takes on projects such as installing fire rated exterior doors and frames, building custom decks, setting up purchased structures like gazebos on existing concrete, and addressing electrical issues that others could not resolve. The business also covers appliance installs and general repairs drawn from the services listed on the company site, including carpentry, drywall, and home remodeling.

Customers describe Ryan arriving the next day for urgent door work, completing a 16 by 40 foot backyard deck while fixing an electrical problem, leveling and installing a gazebo that other contractors refused, and finishing an appliance setup on the same day. Reviews note that he adjusted for site grades on concrete, kept jobs moving without unnecessary delays in most cases, and left areas clean after finishing. One account mentions a patio project that ran six weeks instead of one or two, with materials purchased by the homeowner and drainage problems left for others to correct.

Ryan communicates directly with homeowners, shows up on time for scheduled work, and charges what reviewers call fair or reasonable rates for the scope completed. Service stays within the Denton area based on the locations mentioned, with availability for both planned and last minute calls during regular business hours.

The Google rating stands at 4.6 from 10 reviews. Recurring topics include timely arrivals, fair pricing, and solid results on decks, doors, and installs, though one review raised concerns over pace and completion on a patio job.

“This guy came out last minute and saved the day for us. Took on a job that we were struggling to do on our own and did it wonderfully. Awesome service, friendly dude, and amazing price. 5 stars here for sure”

“I called Ryan with Able Remodel because I urgently needed a fire rated exterior door and frame installed. He came out the next day, was very friendly and installed it perfectly at a reasonable price. I highly recommend his services and will definitely use him again.”

“Able Handyman Services performed masterful work when building my custom deck. He was honest, up-front and completed work in a timely manner. We are very happy with the completed work and look forward to hiring Able Handyman Services to build our outdoor patio this spring.”

“We had purchased a wood/metal gazebo online from one of the big box stores, but the area we needed it installed in (concrete patio) had a slight grade and I knew the posts would need adjustments to account for it. I could not find anyone willing to install it - they all seemed to only want to build from scratch, not install someone else's product. Fortunately I found Ryan, who was able to install the structure and adjust so that it is level and looks great, and the price was more than fair. Looking forward to many years of enjoyment knowing the job was done right.”

“Ryan did a job for us which he showed up half the time. It is very poor work. He took 6 weeks and it should have taken a week or 2 at the most. We had to order and pay for materials ourselves bc he couldn’t get them. We couldn’t tolerate his slow, sloppy work. We then had to hire another contractor to finish the job. Ryan was paid in full and then had the nerve to ask us for more money. Oh he forgot we bought supplies. He put in no drains so now our patio floods which the new hires will have to fix at our expense. He didn’t even finish the job he bid and ask for more money. What nerve. DO NOT ALLOW THIS PERSON ON YOUR PROPERTY. He also left our patio a mess in between times of not coming back for 2-3 days. Never cleaned up. What a terrible mess we got into hiring him. I’ve been 3 days trying to clean and get the cement off my travertine. I still don’t have it all off!!! Oh and then he loaded up the supplies I know we paid for and took it. Blocks, travertine, cement. Now I’m being threatened by this guy, Ryan to take my review down. And for your information Ryan the city inspector came out when my pool was being built and gave a thumbs up on the placement of the po”

“Ryan Built a 16’x40’ deck in my back yard and also figured out an electrical issue at my house that two other handymen couldn’t. He was on time and fair priced. I will use him again in the future.”
