About

Love That Door operates out of Grapevine, Texas as a door supplier and contractor focused on custom iron and steel doors along with thermally broken aluminum patio doors and windows. They maintain multiple showrooms across the Dallas-Fort Worth area and handle design, fabrication, shipping and installation for single entry doors, double doors, pivot doors, doors with transoms or sidelights, fire rated doors, lift and slide patio doors, bifold doors, garage doors and aluminum windows. The company works directly with homeowners and contractors on these projects, and owner Chad has been noted meeting clients at their Dallas warehouse.

Customers describe orders for front entry double doors with transoms, custom steel replacements for standard wood doors, bifold door and window wall combinations, and large iron doorways up to 18 feet wide. Reviewers mention waits of four to nine months from design through shipping and installation, with some reporting solid doors that feel secure and improve curb appeal. Installers named Lori, Traci, Dakota, Cesar, Gio, Maebe Davis, Leo, Felix, Jim, Rachel, Steve and Lisa handled measurements, on-site fixes for closing issues or minor damage, and follow-up service calls. A few noted glass replacements or trim adjustments after delivery.

Work happens through company-employed installers rather than subcontractors, with communication often by text for warranty claims and scheduling. Lead times run several months because manufacturing occurs overseas, and reviewers describe fair but higher pricing for the custom work. The Grapevine location handles consultations and service, with projects completed in the broader DFW area including spots like Allen. Clients report prompt arrivals for service appointments once scheduled and professional handling from sales through painting and finishing.

Google shows a 4.6 rating. Most reviews highlight the solid feel of the finished doors, professional crews, and willingness to handle custom requests, though a couple mention delays in post-install service or scheduling after the door arrives.

What Customers Say

“My wife and I wanted to upgrade to a steel door, and Love That Door did not disappoint. They made the entire process as easy as possible and delivered within the timeframe they provided. We worked with Lori at the Grapevine location, along with Traci for the installation and a few miscellaneous items. The entire team was fantastic to work with from start to finish. The door itself is extremely solid and one of the higher quality doors of this type that I’ve seen, especially considering their competitive pricing. If you’re considering upgrading your home, I would highly recommend Love That Door.”

“I had 3 custom doors and a transom designed and installed in 2023 from the Grapevine location. It took 6 months from design, fabrication, shipping and installation but was well worth the wait. I am very happy with my doors. Love that Door employees have always maintained professional and responsive interaction with me. I contacted LTD recently for a door that wasn't closing properly; they texted me a link to put in a warranty claim and to attach pictures of the issue. Within one week a service call was scheduled. I was impressed with how quickly an appointment was available. Service technician Dakota, texted me in advance of my appointment, arrived on time and all repairs were completed within 20 minutes. No charge. Dakota explained to my husband and me what cause the door to not close and lock properly which was helpful. I highly recommend Love that Door.”

“Very few businesses run with the integrity and excellence that Love That Door does. Every facet of this process, from our sales experience with Lori, to the installation with Cesar and the others with him, to the outstanding brick work and then painting by Gio and finishing of the beautiful door, was exemplary. Every single individual that showed at my home was prompt , respectful, kind and took pride in their work. They were actually proud of the job they had completed and that showed in the work they did. No one would know would know that this door was not the original door. That shows the skill of the individuals they employ. Rarely do you across one individual at a company with these standards. Never the entire group of employees. So thank you all from bottom of my heart! I truly do LOVE THAT DOOR!!! But of most value were interactions I had with all of your employees!!”

“We had our front entry double door and transom replaced by Love That Door Grapevine. The Design Consultant, Maebe Davis, was very knowledgeable and efficient, and assisted us throughout the entire project. She came to our house and after reviewing our aesthetics and colors, suggested a slightly different color & design. We are very happy with the result and look of our new entrance. It took a total of 7 months for the design, fabrication, shipping and installation, but we are thrilled with the result. All of the employees at Love That Door are very professional and attentive. At one visit to their Dallas warehouse, I met the owner, Chad, and was impressed by his caring and considerate nature to his customers. The installation personnel worked in teams of 4 and collaborated together for the best outcome of installing these beautiful and massive doors and windows. I was impressed by the integrity and honesty of Leo Sanchez, who led the door install and Ish who installed the transom. Elio was very diligent and meticulous in the painting and finishing work. We definitely recommend Love That Door!”

“Just got our new door installed and can’t say enough good things about Love That Door. The whole experience has exceeded my expectations and I recommend this company without hesitation. What you need to know is that the doors are manufactured overseas. It takes time to get the door custom made and shipped here so you’ll need to be patient. If that’s ok then you’ll be very happy. The price was very fair and the service was excellent. The installers are employed by the company, not subcontractors. I like this because everyone is working at the same standard. No one was cutting corners. It’s all very turnkey. You can design just about anything you want and get it. The installation crew (Leo, Freddy, and others) was professional and efficient and the paint touch up by Jesus was like having Michelangelo touch up the Sistine chapel.”

“We absolutely loved our door from Love That Door when we first purchased it for our new construction home 3 years ago. It was a very expensive investment, and the door itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, the customer service experience after the sale has been extremely disappointing. We decided we wanted to replace the frosted glass because we could not clearly see outside, and trying to get assistance with replacing the two glass panes in our double doors has been a struggle for the last year and a half. The first few times I called the Grapevine store, I was told someone would call me back, but no one ever did. When I called again, they said they couldn’t find me in the system and again promised a callback that never happened. Eventually, after continuing to follow up myself, they finally located my information. Mike eventually contacted me and passed me to another representative. We communicated back and forth, and she sent someone out to inspect the doors. After that, I heard nothing. When I texted her, I found out she was out on medical leave. Weeks later, I called again, and she said they had the glass and asked when they could install it. Then came another issue. She quo”

“This is our second time using Love that Door. Lori and the whole team really worked well with us. I can't wait to see our bifold door and window wall installed. Our customized steel door is gorgeous and been a center piece for over 6 years now .”

“The installers did a terrific job on our front door. Felix answered all of my questions and even made suggestions and options on things I didn’t know about. It seems that some of the measurements were off, but I don’t think it will be an issue, at this point. The door drags a bit, but Felix suggested taking a washer to the shop and filing it down to get around the issue. I won’t know until Monday 8/31, when the painters come for the final completion of the project.”

“Great showroom & excellent customer service! Our sales expert Jim was very knowledgeable & took the time to answer all our questions even without an appointment. I highly recommend Love that door & can't wait for my door to come in 5 months.”

“This is my 2nd door from Love that Door. I loved the 1st one so much on my other house that I wanted another one on my new custom house. The installers were fast and professional and the painter the next day to finish up painting the trim and any blemishes that may have happened during transport, was amazing and did an outstanding job. All in all, the company is very professional! Love that Door!”

“We replaced our 36” standard wood door with a 40” custom iron door and added a semi-arched door frame. What we love most about our door is how solid and secure it feels, since our main concern was safety. In addition, we love the ability to open the glass portion of the door to let in a nice breeze while keeping the door closed. It took a little over 9 months total to get our door completely installed but it was definitely worth the wait. Overall, we highly recommend Love that Door for their quality craftsmanship, outstanding customer service and professionalism. We love our new door!”

“We LOVE our new front door! After having a complete remodel, our front door was the final finishing touch in the process and it's GORGEOUS! We highly recommend Love That Door!”

“Love That Door Grapevine did a great job with customer service and technical questions. Rachel was friendly and really helpful. Steve was professional and prompt. Thanks again!”

“I am not one to usually write reviews, but the service we have gotten so far has been incredibly frustrating and has left me no choice but to write one so we can fix the problems. To preface, I will say the people I have spoken to have been nice and the door itself is great, except small certain areas. The problem is the scheduling once the door arrives from their manufacturer. I was told in the initial consultation that once the door arrives that it would take 2 days to finish. 1 day to install and another to finish trims and painting. The door itself was installed on November 4th and they came on the 5th to finish up. I was told soon after that it would take another day to finish up, which was not a big deal. They told us that they would reach out to reschedule the following Monday. No one reach out and due to my busy schedule i realised on Friday and reach out to them. Again, they told me they would call me the following week, but no one reach out to us again. At that point, I left a message regarding the situation and they called me back with a new point of contact because the person before was too busy. We got everything scheduled and they came to finish up the door. They cam”

“We weren't sure if we wanted to go with Love That Door when we were looking to replace our front door and transom because they were a little pricey, but BOY are we glad we did. They have been wonderful to work with throughout the entire process, and the custom 18 ft. iron doorway we received is truly a masterpiece. We will easily recoup the higher cost based on improved curb appeal alone. Not having to re-stain our wood doors every 6-12 months is a cost savings too. Highly recommended!”

“My door looks beautiful! Installers on time and professional. Everyone is very helpful from sales to construction and installation.”

“We were in desperate need of a new back door due to one of our dogs damaging it. I was recommended to Love That Door from a co-worker and after going in person and seeing his new front door I was sold. I reached out to Love That Door and from initial consultation to completion things went smooth. Communication was good and due to my impatience I reached out twice inquiring when my new door would be arriving. I was too anxious to get it and they were very kind and speedy in responding. Everything is very and conscious about the process. You will pay for what you get, if you aren't willing and ready to pay some money then go elsewhere but you will get your money's worth.”

“Maebe was my sales person. Love That Door is a great company. I placed my order around May 2025. The process of designing the door with Maebe was seamless. It time is about 4 months to get the door here. She came to the house and we sat down and went step by step during the design process. Anytime I had a question, she was ready to answer and was not hard to contact once time passed. During door and window was installation, it was discovered that the glass on the window was damaged. I was notified right away. They ordered a replacement so I am still waiting for that to be installed. I will say that there was a small hiccup with the communication with the guy over my project. It's not anything that would make me not refer the company but it did puzzle me when he said he was going to complete a task and didn't follow through. That has been taken care of thanks to Lori. Lori with the glass department is very interactive and kept me up to date on my glass order once it was ordered. She was on vacation and still reached out when she had an update. I was glad about that. Overall, the door is beautiful, the service is good. The work was top notch. I LOVE MY DOOR!”

“We cannot say enough good things about Love That Door. The process from the showroom, through selecting our new door and transom, through installation and subsequent follow through was professional, thorough, and seamless. After the install, we looked at improving our UV protection, as our door faced West. They were extremely accommodating, working with us each step of the way until we were satisfied. Lisa, and all people at every stage were helpful, courteous, and delivered on their promise. In our case, well above and beyond. We couldn't recommend them more highly.”

“I’m a contractor in DFW and needed 35 windows replaced on a project in Allen, TX. The homeowners’ existing windows were discontinued, so I had to find the right alternative. I reached out to Love That Door and scheduled a walkthrough with Maebe. She met me the very next day — a rare level of responsiveness in the construction world. From the start, I was impressed with her knowledge, attention to detail, and passion for the product. I had planned to meet with other window companies, but after working with Maebe, I didn’t feel the need to look any further. Within days, we had the homeowners on board for 35 custom black aluminum picture-frame windows — a huge upgrade from their outdated vinyl, low-efficiency grid windows. The project is currently in production, and I’ll update this review with before-and-after photos once installation is complete. So far, the experience has been excellent for me and, more importantly, for the homeowners. I’m looking forward to collaborating with Maebe and Love That Door on future projects.”
