Solar Shade Window Tinting

Solar Shade Window Tinting runs out of Humble, Texas. Bill Alvarez opened the family shop in 1980 and it stays family owned and operated. They focus on window tinting for cars, homes, and commercial buildings along with safety films and truck accessories. The business covers Humble plus Kingwood, Spring, Crosby, Huffman, Fallcreek, Porter, and Houston.

Customers bring vehicles such as Dodge Rams, Broncos, Trans Ams, and SUVs for fresh tint or to strip out old wavy or bubbling film. Some need privacy work on office windows or heat rejection on daily drivers. Technicians named Todd handle same-day removals and replacements under the lifetime warranty, Alex works on repeat jobs across multiple cars, Isaac applies ceramic film on new trucks, and Aaron keeps the shop running for long-term clients. Results include better heat control, clean looks, and fixes that last without turning purple or lifting.

They respond fast with same-day service after a phone call and next-day estimates followed by quick installs that finish in a few hours. Staff sends text reminders, explains tint choices up front, and keeps prices fair. Work happens at the Humble shop and they serve the listed nearby towns without long waits.

The Google rating sits at 4.8. Reviewers note consistent quality on vehicle and building jobs, fast friendly service, and staff who know the trade inside out. One review flagged a warranty snag tied to a receipt error on make and model.

“Solar Shade Window Tinting is the best! I have a 2009 Dodge Ram and these guys tinted my windows 16 years ago...August 13, 2010 to be exact with a lifetime warranty!. Well, after all that time, I notice that the tint was starting to become wave and hard to see out of the passenger window. I ran across my old receipt and called up this great guy named Todd. He told me to come right on in and they immediately took great care in removing the old tint and put a new tint of my truck. These guys are the best! So, if you want a great tint job done on your vehicle, SOLAR SHADE WINDOW TINTING is the place to get the job done right! Ask for Todd...”

I’ll definitely be coming back again in the future!”

More importantly. My car looks absolutely amazing”

My SUV went in at 2 and was out by 3:30 and looks BEAUTIFUL - cmon now.. it doesn’t get better than this place.”

“I just got my 2022 Bronco done with Suntek Ceramic tint and I couldn't be any happier with the results I got from Isaac. He is very kind and helpful with every question and the job he delivered is top level quality. Take it from a very picky customer, I am completely satisfied!”

“Solar Shade has done some privacy tinting within our office spaces previously and came out last week to tint out all of our external facing windows. He came out next day for an estimate and sent a team two days later for the install. The husband and wife team did a fantastic job and knocked it out in a few hours. We instantly can feel the protection from the sun's heat and will help with AC costs in short order. Highly recommend their services!!!”

“I have gone to this shop for 10+ years. Every tint job has been exceptional. They are fast and friendly and the prices are fair. Highly recommend this business.”

“Todd was very helpful, got my car done the same day I called, and his recommendation on the type of tint completely changed the look of my car. Also, he took liberties regarding the eyebrow when he couldn't get a hold of me and I couldn't be happier. Definitely give these guys a call.”

“Just amazing. Great price! Super nice and considerate people. Patient and with a real attention to detail. Will have them back for sure. Thank you!!!”

“This was my third time using Solar Shade. Once again, stellar service! Appointment text reminders, knowledgeable friendly staff, and flawless high end tint. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.”

“I had my car tinted at this place. The technician wrote the wrong make and model on the receipt, so now they will not honor their “lifetime” warranty. My tint is bubbling and has a haziness to it. Be aware of two things: the tint is low quality and they are not trust worthy.”

“My husband and I have been going there since 2000 Getting new vehicles every 2 years Never had a problem with materials used or installation Up front with materials and pricing Love them 😎”

“Todd is excellent he treats me like family when I come to get service I appreciate everything that this company does.”
