GV Cantu Auto Glass - Windshield Repair & Replacement

GV Cantu Auto Glass handles windshield repair and replacement work in Laredo, Texas. The business focuses on auto glass for cars, trucks, and semis, with Mr. Cantu overseeing operations and technicians such as Gabriel, Daniel, and Joel carrying out the installs. They handle full windshield swaps, side window replacements, mirror fixes, and chip repairs, often working directly on customer driveways or at truck locations without requiring a shop visit first.

Customers report jobs that include replacing shattered windshields after bird strikes or hail damage, fixing broken driver side mirrors and windows on semis following accidents, and clearing glass debris from cabs and dashboards. Reviewers note that Gabriel and his partner handled a late night hit and run on a semi by installing a new window and mirror while vacuuming shards throughout the interior. Daniel and Joel performed similar work on a 2015 VW GTI by applying anti corrosive paint to exposed metal, vacuuming particles from the floor and dash, and polishing the finished glass. Other fixes covered same day replacements on Freightliner trucks and quick chip repairs that left windshields looking new.

The crew responds quickly even on evenings, Saturdays, or when customers face tight schedules, often arriving within the stated window and completing installs in under thirty minutes for standard jobs or about twelve minutes for larger semi windshields. They carry their own stock so no sourcing delays occur, keep customers informed during the process, and charge straightforward amounts such as three hundred ninety five dollars for a full semi windshield swap. Service stays within Laredo and nearby areas, with mobile visits that fit around work or travel needs.

“Gabriel and his partner helped my wife and me when we truly needed it most. We were involved in a hit-and-run while driving our semi truck in the middle of the night. The accident left our driver’s side mirror destroyed and our window shattered, sending glass everywhere throughout the cab and leaving us with cuts from the broken glass. After safely making it to Laredo, Texas, Gabriel and his team quickly stepped in to help. They replaced our mirror, installed a new window, and even took the time to thoroughly vacuum the broken glass from our windshield area and inside the truck. Their attention to detail and genuine care made a stressful situation much easier to handle. I’m incredibly grateful for this family-owned local business. I truly believe that if I had gone to a large chain, I wouldn’t have received the same level of care and personal attention. Gabriel and his family treated us with kindness and compassion during a difficult time. They even welcomed my wife and our small dog inside to stay cool in the A/C while the repairs were being completed. I thank God for leading us to the right place. If you’re looking for honest people who genuinely care about their customers, I ”

“Daniel and Joel were professional and clean . The service provided was by far the best I have ever experienced in Laredo . Here is a list of just some of the extra duties they performed on my 2015 VW GTI : 1. Used anti- corrosive paint around my outside windshield frame that had bare exposed metal due to wear and tear . 2. Used a cordless shop-vac to vacuum up the tiny glass particles and debris in and around my dashboard and front floor . 3. Wiped my dashboard down . 4. Polished the new windshield. I can't say enough positive attributes about Cantu Auto glass. Thanks , Danny and Joel , Scott T.”
