MAG Construction Laredo

MAG Construction operates in Laredo, TX as a construction company handling kitchen and bathroom remodeling along with general remodeling and painting. Mr. Garcia leads the work and the company also supplies doors, builds decks, installs windows and doors, and takes on handyman tasks plus roofing and other projects. The business lists English and Spanish as languages used on jobs.

Customers describe garage conversions that added wet bars, half baths and laundry spaces with bay windows and barn doors, full bathroom updates that replaced tile, tubs, cabinets and fixtures, interior door installations, back porch rebuilds with fence doors, roof replacements on rooms, balcony repairs, and additions to homes. Miguel handled several of these jobs including tile work that came out clean and cabinet maintenance that addressed concerns efficiently. Reviewers noted fair pricing on these projects and outcomes that matched requested changes like accent lighting or material upgrades.

The company responds to calls promptly and keeps homeowners informed about schedules and material choices. Crews work on site most days, finish within stated time frames such as two weeks for a bathroom, clean up after each day, and return same day for small touch ups when asked. Pricing comes in as reasonable across multiple accounts, and the team stays in Laredo for all listed projects while answering questions throughout.

Most reviews highlight professional conduct, solid workmanship on finishes, and reliable follow through, though one account noted a job that ran longer than expected with items taken from the home and cleanup left incomplete. Topics that appear often include courteous staff, timely completion, and honest recommendations on materials.

“My husband and I recently hired M.A.G. Construction, led by Mr. Garcia, to build a studio for us, and we couldn’t be happier with both the experience and the final result. Mr. Garcia is truly an outstanding contractor—kind, respectful, and incredibly accommodating to our needs and the changes we requested throughout the project. I tend to call often and ask a lot of questions, and he was always patient and never made me feel like a bother. His pricing was very fair, and he consistently took the time to explain what was being done and why. His crew was respectful, and Mr. Garcia remained actively involved from start to finish, ensuring everything was done correctly and met our expectations. We especially appreciated how attentive and hands-on he was throughout the entire process. In the end, our studio turned out beautifully—better than we imagined. We are absolutely thrilled with the final result and know our visiting relatives will enjoy the space just as much as we do. We highly recommend M.A.G. Construction and Mr. Garcia to anyone looking for a contractor who is honest, patient, and genuinely committed to delivering exactly what you want.”

“MAG Construction provided excellent service for our cabinet and drawer maintenance. The team was professional and efficient throughout the entire process. They addressed all our concerns with great care and expertise. We are very pleased with the results and the overall experience. We highly recommend their reliable and skilled craftsmanship. Thank You Miguel!!”

“I loved their work! In 2022 MAG converted our garage into a living space with a wet bar, added 1/2 bath & enclosed laundry space. Mr Garcia was very easy to work with & successfully executed my vision of the space. I asked for 2 bay windows and he went the extra mile by adding some nice accent lighting on each. I also asked for a large rustic barn door to separate the kitchen and the new space and it exceeded my expectation, it looks amazing. Everything was done timely & reasonably priced.”

“Miguel and his crew finished updating my small full bath on the second story of my home. It entailed, removing old tile walls, floor tile, old steel tub, cabinet and sink. Everything was replaced including all fixtures, plus painting. Miguel's crew were all very professional and respectful. I especially recommend his tile person, the subway tile around the new tub came out great!! The work was reasonably priced. Thanks Miguel.”

“We needed an interior door installed. Mr. Garcia is very courteous and attentive. He purchased the material needed and finished the job in a timely manner. Professional work that is reasonably priced.”

“I was very satisfied with addition Mr Garcia built for us. Mr Garcia was very professional and listened to details. We will definitely use MAG Construction for future remodeling jobs. I highly recommend MAG Construction if you plan to do any additions to your home.”

“Mr. Garcia was really great and easy to work with/coordinate. His team and him redid my back porch and also built in a door in my back yard fence. It looks great! He was honest and made his best recommendations on wood/paint so it could last longer than it previously did. They were all great and they even worked for a bit while it was lightly raining. There was some tiny spots I noticed that hadn't gotten painted, I mentioned this to Mr. garcia and they came out the same day to go over that, no hesitation at all. Great work, I highly recommend!”

“I would/will recommend MAG Construction to anyone with a bathroom project. -English and Spanish -They had my second bathroom redone within 2 weeks. -They were on site almost everyday, and I didn’t have to chase them down to get the work done, like other places have made me do in the past. -They cleaned the areas they were working in once they were done with the job. -All the workers were considerate with keeping the doors to the outside closed, and were mostly quiet while working (besides the obvious various power tools and whatnot). -The manager (Miguel Garcia), kept us in the loop the whole time. From the different tile/material/paint selections to when the crew would be enroute to the house, he stayed on top of it. - The finished project was exactly what we wanted and for a reasonable price. - All in all, I had a great experience with this company and for sure, will get my business in the future for other projects.”

“They fixed an issue I've been having with some doors at my house. A past carpenter removed the doors the paint them, but they didn't re-install them property. The MAG carpetners came in to fix the issue and got the job done. No more issues with those doors.”

“I searched online for someone who could fix my balcony and came across MAG construction. I had a quote done by someone else, prior to having MAG do theirs, and I didn't get the impression the person was familiar with that type of repair I needed. Miguel came over when he said he would and explained what he needed to do. After talking to Miguel (Miguel Angel Garcia/MAG Construction) I immediately got the impression that he knew what he was talking about. The repair, which turned out, I badly needed, took a week. Over the course of the week, he communicated with me and his construction crew were prompt and cleaned everything up after the work was done. I highly recommend MAG construction, Miguel is an honest and experienced contractor who gets the job done to the best extent possible. This review was written by Daniel Hernandez”

“Great experience with this contractor. Very professional and very clean finishes. I highly recommend his work!”

“Paid for a job that should’ve taken 3 days, it took them 2 weeks. They also took a beverage out of the fridge without consent, took snacks without consent, and used my wet wipes; not only did the use them, they finished them and left their used wipes in an empty container. They didn’t bother cleaning up after themselves when the job was done. Left it as is”
