Upper Hand Roofing & Construction

Upper Hand Roofing & Construction runs operations from League City, Texas, where it handles roofing, siding, gutters, window installation, painting, and related construction work including insurance claims for wind, hail, fire, and water damage. Devon serves as owner and stays directly involved in claim management and client explanations. The business lists additional services such as patio covers, concrete, fencing, remodeling, and flooring through its claimed profile as a roofing contractor that also covers siding and windows.

Homeowners describe roof replacements and repairs after storms including hurricane Beryl, siding and window swaps, gutter fixes and resealing, chimney work, patio shingle additions, mailbox resets, and rotten wood repairs with painting. Technicians named Kyle, Joe, Jerad, Bruce, Jarred, and Jackie handled on-site inspections, estimates, and follow-up visits. Reviewers note crews addressed concerns on the spot during siding jobs and roof repairs, matched materials on patios, and completed small tasks like gutter sections without treating them differently from larger projects.

The company responds to calls with same-day assessments in several cases, provides itemized quotes quickly, and maintains contact through staff such as Paula and Jackie. Pricing comes across as competitive and transparent with no added fees reported, and crews clean sites after finishing. Work covers League City and nearby spots, with jobs wrapped in one to two days for many roof and gutter projects and follow-up texts or visits for minor issues.

Feedback totals mostly five-star entries that highlight reliability, hands-on owner involvement, and solid results on insurance-backed repairs, though one review described leaks returning years after a roof replacement.

“I had an outstanding experience with Upper Hand Roofing from start to finish! From the initial consultation to the final inspection, they were incredibly easy to work with and displayed the highest level of professionalism. Kyle was punctual, courteous, and took the time to explain everything in detail, making sure I felt informed and comfortable with every step of the process. They provided a clear, honest estimate with no hidden fees, and their communication was top-notch throughout the project. The quality of their work was outstanding, and they finished on time without cutting any corners. The team cleaned up thoroughly after the job was done, leaving my property spotless. I’m thrilled with the new roof, and I can confidently say that Upper Hand Roofing is one of the best in the business. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a professional roofing experience. A+ service all around! Thank you Kyle and team!!”

“This company is amazing! They treat you like family with the clear communication, the transparent pricing and being men of their word. This has to be the best roofing/construction company in our area. I highly recommend you give them a call. Thank you fellas!”

“"I highly recommend Upper Hand Roofing and Construction. Beyond doing excellent work, their team genuinely cares about their clients. As seniors, my husband and I always worry about getting 'shnookered,' but from day one, Devon and his team put our minds completely at ease. Devon, the owner, is personally involved in dealing with insurance claims; he is very hands-on, interactive, and takes the time to explain everything clearly. Joe, another member of the team, has also been so good and kind throughout the process. When my water heater unexpectedly stopped working, he even went out of his way to text me specific instructions to get it running again. Their expertise with insurance claims made a stressful situation much easier, and they consistently go above and beyond in every aspect of their service."”

“I’m writing this as an update review as I previously gave Upper Hand Roofing 5 stars. DO NOT use Upper Hand Roofing to replace your roof, they have poor work and craftsmanship. Here it is 4 years later since having my roof replaced by them and it’s leaking so bad in my garage area it’s like a constant waterfall every time it rains. This is the same exact area that was leaking prior to them replacing the roof from the beginning. I happened to notice it one day when I was exercising in the garage and it was raining out so who knows how long it’s been leaking, so I called them and they came out the next morning to look. They took pictures and measurements and told me the project manager was out of town but would be back Monday, this was on a Friday. Monday came around and no call. I called Tuesday to check in and was told they would contact the guy who came out and call me back, no call back. So, Thursday I called them back and was told they were gonna talk to the project manager and call me back. They did call back this time just to tell me that my roof only had a 1 year warranty so it’s not covered to be repaired. So here I am with a waterfall coming from the ceiling in my garage an”

“Upper Hand Roofing resealed our glass block skylight, Chimney top and refreshed the vent pipes...looks great!!”

“Upper Hands Roofing is the real deal...they understand and still provide old fashion "service" at a reasonable price! There people and staff are professional and the work performed is excellent quality. "Paula" the scheduler and who answers the phone is an added value/benefit of the experience working with this company!”

“I had a relatively small job compared to what they’re probably used to. It was a small run of seamless gutter repair. I felt like it wasn’t treated any different than a big job. They came out and gave me a quote pretty quickly after I called, gave me an estimate and estimation on the time frame they would be out to make the repair. The repair was made and they sent me an invoice. It was seamless. I don’t know if I’ll be needing any more repairs/work but if I do, they’ll be at the top of my list to call. Excellent work and 100% satisfaction!”

“Upper Hand Roofing & Construction has replaced my roof, repaired a section of gutter, and done some repair work on my chimney. They are reliable, friendly, and do excellent work in a timely manner. I highly recommend them.”

“Upper Hand Roofing was excellent to work with. They were timely and professional, coming out to assess the same day I called, and repaired our roof within a week. They were also very friendly and had fair pricing. This is the second time we have had a wonderful experience working with Upper Hand Roofing and I highly recommend!”

“Upper hand roofing did a fantastic job with adding shingles to our patio. They were able to match the color and pattern seamlessly to the rest of our house. The team was professional, efficient, and delivered outstanding results. We are thoroughly satisfied with the work they've done, and our patio now looks not only sturdy but also aesthetically pleasing. Highly recommend this roofing company for their top-notch service.”

“We used Upper hand for a recent siding and window replacement on our home. The crews do an excellent job and fix any concerns immediately. Quotes were quick and precise, I like that they are broken down by job.”

“They are communicative. Fixed my issues the first time. They helped me with roof repair and also replacing rotten wood and painting. Will definitely use them again. I've referred a few people to them.”

“Had a great experience with upperhand roofing. They price matched a lower estimate for me and got the work done really quickly. I had a couple of minor concerns after the work was completed. Kyle came out to the property to talk me through them in person and we got everything sorted. Would recommend!”

“Recent heavy rain revealed three leaks in the roof of the home we purchased a few months ago. We called Upper Hand Roofing because through our realtor we were already familiar with their reputation for quality, reliability and professional work. Jackie took our information and soon Jerad arrived to inspect our roof. He recommended a repair plan that was straightforward , clear, and to the point. He knows his stuff. His estimate was on the money. The repair crew that performed the work were equally impressive. Very skilled and hardworking. These are definitely the people to call when your roof needs help. Our sincere thanks to the good folks at Upper Hand Roofing.”

“Upper Hand Roofing was a pleasure to work with. Bruce and Jarred came out to do the estimate and explained everything that their company provides and what they would recommend. They got on the roof and also crawled around in our attic to make sure we weren't blindsided by anything once the shingles came off. We got several estimates from other companies and their pricing was very competitive and their customer service was way above the others, which is why we decided to use them. Our job took a day and a half to finish and our yard was cleaned up very nicely. I would highly recommend Upper Hand Roofing and will use them again in the future.”

“Bruce is who I dealt with in getting the new roof and gutters bid and installed, he always responded to my calls and texts in a timely manner and has excellent customer service skills. Upper Hand Roofing installers did a great job putting the new roof and gutters on the house. The roof and gutters looks great and the price was very reasonable. I will definitely use them in the future on other properties and highly recommend them. Thanks for a job well done!”

“We were very impressed with the workmanship of the crew, timeliness, thoroughness of the repairs, and the verbal explanation of the repairs being done. I highly recommend Upper Hand Roofing and look forward to using them again in the future.”
