About
Salt Fork Woodworks runs a wood shop at 1910 N Avenue X in Lubbock, Texas. The family-owned outfit has three generations behind it and takes on custom millwork plus woodworking for both homes and commercial spots across West Texas. Their work covers custom doors, butcher block countertops, molding, reclaimed wood pieces, historic building repairs, and specialty architectural millwork. They also produce wood parts for various industries and handle projects for contractors and designers who need functional pieces built to fit specific spaces.
Customers call them in for doors and countertops that stand out for their build quality. One person bought a long board elsewhere, cut it into sections, and paid fifty dollars to have the edges planed and squared so the pieces would work for office shelving. Manuel took on a resaw job and finished it while the customer waited. Another needed trim cut to match an existing customer setup, and the shop delivered an exact fit. Feedback also points to furniture builds, kitchen work, and general lumber handling that turns raw stock into finished items.
The shop stays open to smaller jobs like board prep for a flat fee and keeps the process direct for walk-ins or quick turnaround needs. They cover the Lubbock and Midland areas plus other locations across Texas. Reviewers describe the crew as professional and note that the work gets completed without extra steps or delays on straightforward requests.
The listed reviews show six five-star notes and one three-star note, with repeated comments on the woodwork quality and the shop's ability to handle custom or one-off projects.

“I wanted to get some reasonably priced shelving put up in my office so i purchased a 16 foot board from another location and cut it into 4 separate pieces but they weren't squared up and i couldn't plane and edge them myself as i don't have the right tools. I asked if Salt Fork could help me and for a $50 fee they planed and edged the boards for me. They were very professional and I would recommend them to anyone that needs similar services. Thanks very much guys!”
