American Home Improvement

American Home Improvement operates as a family-owned window and door contractor out of Midland, Texas, and has served West Texas homeowners for over 30 years. The company handles window replacements, door installations, siding work, sunroom and screen room builds, pergola construction, and patio screening. Reviewers name Willie, Christy, Phillip, Jake, William, and Philip as the crew members who show up for these jobs. Their Google listing lists them under window installation, siding, and sunroom services at the address on TX-191.

Customers describe window replacements in homes and churches, door swaps including garden windows and back doors bought elsewhere, full patio enclosures with air conditioner adjustments, screened patios, aluminum pergolas, and soffit and fascia repairs. Several mention crews measuring multiple times before ordering, finishing on the promised schedule, and leaving the site clean. One reviewer noted a lower estimate compared with other bids for the same garden window, while another described a crew fixing a hail-damaged screen job years after the original install. A single review raised concern over the cost of two doors and labor.

Reviewers say the crews arrive when scheduled, communicate clearly without pressure, and stay polite and knowledgeable through the work. They note reasonable pricing in most cases, quick turnaround on special orders, and follow-up calls to check satisfaction. The company covers Midland and nearby spots like Snyder. Jobs run during normal daytime hours with office staff handling quotes and scheduling.

Google shows a 4.6 rating drawn from customer feedback. Recurring comments cover on-time arrivals, clean work areas, quality windows and screens, and crews that explain steps and respect the property.

“We are so happy with our new windows from American Home Inprovement. Willie and Christy, their son Phillip and apprentice Jake provide excellent customer service, a fair and honest price and we could not be happier. Wish we had done this years ago.”

“After searching and getting multiple bids, we finally found the right company to handle it! They were at my house when they said they would be, measured twice, gave recommendations, didn't hound me for a response, didnt over sell, came to me with a reasonable price and waited for my response. When we decided to go with them, they measured again and ordered. The windows came in when they told me they would be here and they installed them when they said they would! Not only did they install the windows but also my 2 back doors I had bought from Home Depot. Not only did they install the windows but they went the extra mile to make sure everything looked good and flowed together! I 100% recommend American Home Improvement out of Seminole! If you need windows, give Willie a call for an estimate! You will not be disappointed.”

“We recommend American Home Improvement for any job you have. They recently replaced the windows at Avenue D Baptist Church in Snyder Texas and we are very pleased with the results. From our first contact with them they were professional, knowledgeable and prompt. They promptly surveyed and bid the work, completed the window installation, cleaned up their work area and followed up with us to make sure we were satisfied with their work.”

“I highly recommend American Home Improvement. They recently replaced a garden window in my kitchen. It was a special order from the factory. I had contacted several companies but only one and American Home Improvement replaced garden windows. I chose American Home because their estimate was lower for the same quality window. I was also impressed with how quickly they installed my window.”

“This Company is absolutely wonderful not only. Did they do a great job on my patio that we enclosed, but we had put in a air conditioner and they had to put two holes through the vinyl. Well we decided to do it away with that and put in a split air and they came out within. I think two days replaced it and the charge was minimum. I’m so grateful for Them to be able to come out and do this for me and not make our patio look ugly. It’s a beautiful patio and I love sitting out here.”

“Thank you to American Home Improvement for installing the windows in my mother’s house. The crew was polite, knowledgeable, and very dependable throughout the entire process. Office personnel was easy to deal with and very knowledgable. Everything went smoothly, and it was a genuinely positive experience from start to finish. The quality of the windows really stands out, and we’re very pleased with the results. I highly recommend calling American Home Improvement for your windows and exterior doors. - Kevin McNew”

“Outstanding! This is the second project that has been completed in 6 months by American Home Improvement. They are on time, polite and come ready for the job. When job is complete, everything is cleaned up so nicely. They CARE that you are totally satisfied with the work performed. They are my first call!”

“The quality of the windows is excellent, and they have greatly improved the appearance comfort and energy efficiency of our home. The crew kept the work area clean and completed the project on time as promised.”

“I asked if someone could come out and give me a price on a new glass door. William adjusted the door for nothing where I didn't need a new door. While he was doing that I asked him about a patio cover. His people come one morning and had the patio cover up before lunch. They also installed an electric heater under the cover while they were here. The patio cover looks great and is a great addition to the house. The price was good and the service was good. I can highly recommend America Home Improvement.”

“AHI assisted us in the planning and construction of a screened-in patio for our home. William made suggestions that we had not considered to make the outdoor living space even better. He was always on schedule and the project was done fast. We have used AHI on other projects and will continue to them in the future.”

“Philip and Jake did a great job! They were fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and cleaned up afterwards. I will definitely be using them again!”

“Such a pleasure doing business with AHI - from the date of quote to the finish was timely and in line with what we were told. The installers were everything you'd want on a job: polite, respectful, cleaned up each day before they left, friendly, efficient, explained any items they were asked about, they were on time, etc. We definitely recommend AHI and would use them again!”

“I had AHI replace six windows this past fall. They did an awesome job and it is sooooo nice to have windows that are easy to open, clean and efficient. I recommend them to all my friends and neighbors.”

“They did an amazing job at an excellent price. Would recommend and use again. Had them replace soffit and fascia on house. Super pleased.”

“American Home Improvement replaced every window in the house. I took several estimates. American Home Improvement offered a good product, at a good price, and did a really good job installing the windows. They were so nice to work with. I highly recommend them.”

“AHI exceeded my expectations! I am very happy with my new windows. The installers were friendly and did a great job installing all the windows without damaging the stucco.”

“I would highly recommend American Home Improvement. They provided the material and labor to screen-in my patio several years ago, and then recently made the necessary repairs due to hail damage. The quality of their work is excellent.”

“Had my patio screened in and I was very pleased. They were quick and very pleasant to work with. Would highly recommend. Thank you, Beverly O.”

“It’s the second aluminum pergola I do with American Home Improvement located on 191 Highway in Midland,Texas. The first one done approximately 9 years ago still looks brand new, spotless without any maintenance. The working crew and office staff were very courteous, friendly, punctual and professional. Both were accommodating to my questions and requests. Highly recommended as both times I have used their services, they have proved to be a very reliable company.”

“We had them replace our front and back doors. The front door was nicer than what we had before the back door was just a plain door, we had never had to buy doors before so we trusted that they would be honest with an estimate. They took about an hour to install the doors and they charged us $3,200 for both doors and labor (Yes Three-THOUSAND two hundred, that's not a typo). I was suspicious about the cost and looked for a comparable door to the nice one on Home Depot's website and I found it there for $400. that means the hour of labor was $2,400. They completely took advantage of us, I tell all my friends to watch out for this company since they lack integrity and honesty in their work. AMERICAN HOME IMPROVEMENT RIPPED US OFF, find someone else and save yourself thousands.”
