“Mainline Glass replaced 5 windows for us that had leaked their gas charge a couple of months ago. I had thought they did a fine job until I went up to the second floor to inspect their reinstallation of solar screens today ahead of Hurricane Beryl’s arrival. I’m glad I did because of their half effort at reinstalling these. They didn’t try to match them up to the window they were originally on. They drilled new holes right next to existing holes, stripped and broke off screw heads, and didn’t even set any of them correctly as none were secured at the bottom. They looked terrible and were dangerous in the coming storm so I took them down. I will have to buy new solar screens. When I pay >$6,000 I expect good craftsmanship.”

“Our 120-pound Rottweiler went through our front door glass like it wasn't there. (He's fine, but the delivery person probably hates us.) A new door would have been several thousand dollars, so we looked into repairs instead. That turned out to be challenging because while there are a lot of glass repairs shops, not many places make beveled glass repairs. Some of the few we found were also unable to replace individual pieces but instead wanted to replace all of the glass...which was almost as expensive as a new door. Mike from Mainline Glass did an excellent job! This is true artisan territory because it was a painstaking process from start to finish: matching the individual pieces of beveled glass to the originals, removing all fragments of the broken pieces, cleaning the frame and fitting the pieces exactly to spec so there were no gaps for air or water. Mike did an incredible job, and he is both kind and professional. He and his assistant were super-careful to spread tarps and use vacuums to catch every possible sliver of glass during the repair. Hopefully our dog has had his only tantrum, but we'll definitely call Mainline again for future repairs. Highly recommend!”
