Maverick Door and Millwork, Inc.

Maverick Door and Millwork runs a mill in Schertz at 124 Pecan Dr where they build custom wood doors. The business has turned out these doors one at a time since 1992 using original designs and high grade lumber that gets hand selected on site. Crews mill the rough stock, reselect pieces, machine every part to fit, dowel and glue the joints, then run each door through four sanding stages before final trimming and glazing. The work stays focused on doors rather than windows or other millwork items.

Homeowners call them for custom door projects where standard options fall short. Reviewers note the crew handles the full build from start to finish and delivers doors that meet expectations on fit and finish. One customer said the team stays ready to help throughout the job. Another pointed to the level of detail that shows up in the final product and the overall service that makes the purchase straightforward.

The shop stays in Schertz and takes orders for doors that require hand selection of materials plus careful joint work and sanding. Communication comes through direct contact at the mill, and the process follows the same steps for every order without shortcuts on inspection. Reviewers mention the place handles the work cleanly and keeps things moving once the lumber is chosen.

Four reviews give the business a five star mark with repeated notes on solid craftsmanship and service that gets the job done right. Google lists a five star mark though with no reviews attached to that profile.
