How do I add a job site address to a job in DIRT?
When creating or editing a job, enter the site address in the location field. DIRT stores it on the job record so it's always exactly where you'd look for it — on the job screen, not buried in a text thread or a separate notes app.
Can I navigate to a job site directly from DIRT?
Yes. From the job screen, tap the map pin and DIRT opens directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps. One tap from the job record to turn-by-turn navigation — no copy-pasting the address between apps, no wrong-house detours.
Can I change the job address after the job is already created?
Yes. Open the job, tap the address field, and update it. If a client sends a corrected address after the job is in your system, the fix takes ten seconds and the map pin updates immediately.
Why is it better to store the job address on the job than in phone contacts?
Because the address lives with all the other job information — scope, line items, invoice status, and notes. When a client calls about that job you're already on their record. The address is right there alongside everything else, not spread across a text thread and a contact entry.
Does DIRT track my driving route to the job site automatically?
No. DIRT doesn't track GPS automatically. To log miles to a job site, use the manual trip log — enter the destination, miles, and purpose, then assign it to the job. That trip ties to the job and shows up in the cost breakdown.
