Job site on a map. No more wrong-address callbacks.

Keeping the job site address on the job record itself — not in a text thread or a contacts entry — is what stops wrong-address callbacks on a multi-job week. Every DIRT job holds its site address and pins it on a map; tap the pin and directions open in Apple Maps or Google Maps. There is no automatic GPS tracking, so miles to that site get recorded with the manual trip log.

The problem

You've got four jobs this week in different parts of town. Somewhere between GPS, a text from the client, and the address in your notes app, you mix up the street numbers and show up at the wrong house. It's fifteen minutes lost, plus you look disorganized.

Why we built it

Every DIRT job stores its site address and pins it on a map. Tap to open it in Apple Maps or Google Maps with one touch. The address lives with the job so it's always exactly where you'd expect to find it.

How it works

  1. 1

Add or confirm the job site address when creating a job.

  2. 2

From the job screen, tap the map pin to open directions in your preferred map app.

  3. 3

The address is always on the job — no hunting through texts or contacts.

What changes for your business

Before

Job address is somewhere in a text. Sometimes copy the wrong number. Show up at the wrong place.

After

Address lives on the job. One tap to navigate directly there.

Common questions

How do I add a job site address to a job in DIRT?

When creating or editing a job, enter the site address in the location field. DIRT stores it on the job record so it's always exactly where you'd look for it — on the job screen, not buried in a text thread or a separate notes app.

Can I navigate to a job site directly from DIRT?

Yes. From the job screen, tap the map pin and DIRT opens directions in Apple Maps or Google Maps. One tap from the job record to turn-by-turn navigation — no copy-pasting the address between apps, no wrong-house detours.

Can I change the job address after the job is already created?

Yes. Open the job, tap the address field, and update it. If a client sends a corrected address after the job is in your system, the fix takes ten seconds and the map pin updates immediately.

Why is it better to store the job address on the job than in phone contacts?

Because the address lives with all the other job information — scope, line items, invoice status, and notes. When a client calls about that job you're already on their record. The address is right there alongside everything else, not spread across a text thread and a contact entry.

Does DIRT track my driving route to the job site automatically?

No. DIRT doesn't track GPS automatically. To log miles to a job site, use the manual trip log — enter the destination, miles, and purpose, then assign it to the job. That trip ties to the job and shows up in the cost breakdown.

How does storing job addresses reduce mistakes on a multi-job week?

When you have four jobs in different parts of town, having the address pinned to each job card means you're not cross-referencing texts and contact notes to figure out where you're going. Open the job, tap navigate. Right address every time.
