The problem
You tell DIRT to send the invoice and you accidentally say yes to the wrong amount. Or you meant to say "draft" and it went live. Or you've sent a voice command and you're not 100% sure it processed correctly — so now you're calling the client to explain.
Invoices going out wrong aren't just embarrassing. They're a trust problem with a client you may need for years.
Why we built it
Any action involving money gets a confirmation gate. You must explicitly say yes before DIRT sends an invoice. It's a one-word checkpoint that prevents the kind of mistake that takes three apology texts to clean up.
How it works
- 1
Tell DIRT to send an invoice by voice or tap.
- 2
DIRT reads back the amount, client name, and delivery method — "Sending $2,400 to Henderson via email. Confirm?"
- 3
Say "yes" or tap confirm. Only then does the invoice go out.
What changes for your business
Before
Voice commands could fire in the wrong order. No confirmation. Invoices go out on a "send it."
After
Every send requires a spoken or tapped yes. You always know exactly what went out.
Common questions
Can a voice command accidentally send an invoice to the wrong person?
No. Every invoice send — regardless of how you triggered it — requires an explicit confirmation. DIRT reads back the amount, client name, and delivery method before anything goes out.
What exactly does DIRT read back before an invoice sends?
The amount, the client name, and the delivery method. "Sending $2,400 to Henderson via email. Confirm?" You have to say yes or tap confirm. A vague or accidental command doesn't fire the send.
What if I say "send it" and I didn't mean to send the invoice yet?
The confirmation gate catches it. DIRT reads back what it's about to do and waits for an explicit yes. If you don't confirm, the invoice stays in draft.
Does this confirmation apply to all invoice sends or only voice-triggered ones?
All sends. Whether you triggered the invoice by voice or by tapping through the app, the confirmation step appears before anything goes to the client.
Doesn't a confirmation step just add friction?
One word — "yes" — adds about two seconds. The friction it prevents is the kind that takes three apologetic texts and a phone call to clean up. For anything involving money leaving the app, a checkpoint is the right call.
What happens if I say no or cancel at the confirmation?
The invoice stays in draft. Nothing goes out. Go back, edit the amount, description, or line items, and resend when you're ready. The confirmation step exists so that exactly this kind of reconsideration can happen.
